possibly very dumb question about MIdi-CV

Just wondering if the MIDI-CV project can be used to convert mid notes played on a midi keybaord to midi CV/gate?

I assume this, I just have not gone through the source code to see how you do this (or does it do it by default?)

Yes it does. Default behaviour.
