what happens if i connect a led matrix to the sid core but i have not built stepC?

i have only 1 encoder + some buttons for the menu.

i wonder if i can see all the modulation matrix during patch editing or playing and the LFO meter even with a minimal contrl surface...

is there some modding to do to the code or will it work "out of the box"?

It will work without problems, you don't need to change the software settings
