Twin-X Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 http://www.lis.inpg.fr/realise_au_lis/kicad/Kicad looks very promissing and best of all it's free! No limit on pins etc.I am new to pcb tools and i find eagle a pain to work with. I know it is the tool to use here for most but i was thinking "hey lets try something diffrent, everyone can use without pin limitations".Offcourse we have to share our midibox footprints ;)What do you think or should i invest my time in eagle?
stryd_one Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 Hey you know that looks pretty darn good.... Lots of plusses... It's active, cross platform, free, open source, unlimited, lots of nice features... I'd like to hear smash and TK's thoughts :)

stryd_one Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 Fair enough :) If only there was an easy way to get eagle layouts into it, it would be good for making custom PCB's combining several MBHP modules...
