Crypto Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Hi,the resistor value of faders, pots etc. connected to the AIN module is supposed to be 10kOhm.What can I do if the value of my own pots is not exactly 10kOhm?Background of it all: I have a device that contains some faders and I cannot find any replacement faders that fit in their place and have 10kOhm at the same time. So I have decided to leave the faders located where they are and solder some resistors in parallel. That way the resulting value of the newly created faders can be dimensioned so it is either slightly above 10kOhm or slightly below, so which solution would be best here?Kind regards,Crypto.
Wild_Weasel Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Since these pots work as voltage divider also other values will work. I tried with 25k sliders and it worked just fine.regardsWW
