Probably, yes.  There's a converter available here:  http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=116852

I just downloaded it the other day, but I haven't had a chance to load up any of the patches yet into my MIDIbox SID.  Undoubtedly there's someone here who has already used it and can say whether or not it works well.

Hi:

I've downloaded the app, and converted some banks from the SIDStation  site.

I added the missing F0 and F7 to the file, and the missing MIDIbox SID

header, but I can't get the banks working in my MB SID.

The converted banks are smaller than a standard MB SID bank.

I can't find SIDstation individual patches to try.

If anybody can do it, please let me know.

Any news on this! Could Sidstation banks be converted somehow? By splitting them to patches.... This is vey interesting.

Hi:

Sorry for the delay, I was busy making music ;)

I tried with the individual patch and SIDpec and didn't work.

As with the whole bank SIDpec converted it, I have to add

the F0 (this time the F7 byte was there), but my MBsid don't

take it.

Maybe I will try some more, but the MB SID is really easy to

program, so I'm not desesperate for convert them.

For those of us poor people who don't have that much analog or SID synth experience, it would help to study those SidStation patches... I for one would love to hear the Giraya patches that are in this SidStation demo: http://www.sidstation.com/sidsound/sidonly/Joeri-GirayaDemo.mp3

If you have enough patience, you can download the Giraya bank and

use SIDpec with the print option (-p). With this option all parameters in every

patch in the bank are printed to screen (in MB SID format), so you

can program the MB SID using that set of parameters.

Could be a great synth programming exercise :)
