toneburst
Any UK-based MIDIBoxers have a use for this? In pretty good condition. I've grabbed the SID out of it, and the board is on its way to landfill, so this is literally just the case. Might be handy to someone wanting a housing for a MIDIBox project, or just something to practice their DIY modelling skills on. I prefer the older Mk.I boxes, but someone out there might need one of the newer, larger enclosures. It's pretty light, so shouldn't cost much to post. Also, I'd just like to take the opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year, and a successful 2007!Cheers guys!Alexhttp://www.toneburst.net
Jaicen
Hey man, did you already throw out the motherboard?? That'd be a shame if you did, I wouldn't have minded it for spares. If the case has the Keyboard too, i'd definitely be interested in it.
toneburst
Hey man, did you already throw out the motherboard??I'm afraid I did :(I was having a bit of a spring-clean, and after reading some posts about how hard it is actually to get any of the bits off the C64 boards, and how capacitors and other components deteriorate over the years, I decided to chuck them. I did slavage a couple of the main power switches and sockets, but the rest went in the bin, sadly. That'd be a shame if you did, I wouldn't have minded it for spares. If the case has the Keyboard too, i'd definitely be interested in it. I stripped all the keys off the keyboards, and removed the multicoloured wires connecting them to the mainboard, and binned the rest. Not sure what I'll ever do with the keys, to be honest, but they were too nice to throw away.I'm a hoarder at heart, but live in a small flat. I'm just running out of room for stuff.....Alexhttp://www.toneburst.net
Jaicen
Ah well, I guess it's not the end of the world. I'm a hoarder as well, but i'm also a fixer-upper, I hate to see things thrown away if they can be repaired at all. That's why i've got a VIC-20 mainboard and keyboard (missing three keys), sat around waiting for me to fix. It's also the reason i've got a second C64 dedicated to music (Go Prophet64!!!), because it had some damaged memory that I repaired.I would have liked a couple of those white keys to use on my P64 machine to contrast with the black keys for a 303 kinda look if you don't mind parting with them. Where in the UK are you??
