hi

been lurking a lot on the forums and learning little bits here and there...and i've gone through the wiki and the hardware pages. I have an "idea" of what I want...but I need to confirm this.

Nothing original here, but I would like to build a controller for ableton.

what i would like is buttons (to load clips/samples), pots (for effects) and led's (to make it look pretty :).

is this right:

for the buttons, i need a DIN

for the pots, i need an AIN

for the led's, i need a DOUT

but for the controller, i'm not sure which I would need as they seem to differ for the modules i would like to use...so if you guys could help me with that, id really appreciate it  :D

... you'll also need a CORE  ;D

The type of software you use with your controller can change as you like.

It's transfered to the Core via Midi-Upload. So ut's no problem to change within a minute.

I also think, MB64 is a good start for you.
