Slorrin Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Hi! i got the sid module working, my PSU circuit is stable, i started playing some sid notes after i got it all trouble shot, and I LOVE THIS THING!!! it's INCREDIBLE!! there is NO BACKGROUND HISS!! it's so much better than using a c64, just blows my mind.. however, i can only get sounds out of one channel.. how do i play all 3 channels? remember, i have not yet build control surface A yet.. I will do that over the next couple of days Quote
Wilba Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 The default patch is (I recall) just osc 1 on pulse waveform, osc 2 and 3 are off.A patch can either be monophonic (all oscs play on note event) or 3-note polyphonic (each osc is used independently to play up to 3 notes simultaneously). Unless you load up a bankstick with patches and switch to a patch like Poly Saw, I don't know how you can set up a polyphonic patch without a CS or JSynthLib. Hope that helps. Quote
Slorrin Posted March 21, 2007 Author Report Posted March 21, 2007 I used the VST, but found that when i did, it SEVERELY detuned all the oscillators.. not mild detuning for effect, total and utter detuning. Also, ther eseemed to be no way i could find to chose which oscillator a note played on.. so if i made osc3 a good bass patch, and osc 2 a good lead, i could not draw a bass line and then a lead line and expect the right osc to play it.. most annoying.. TK. Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 This will be possible with the multi engine of MBSID V2see http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_sid_v2_wishlist.htmlBest Regards, Thorsten. Quote
Slorrin Posted March 21, 2007 Author Report Posted March 21, 2007 AAAAAAAAAHh, i see.. so for now, my sid will be a wicked mono instrument i think, with three wicked osc in unison :) Quote
