euphoricgrey Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Yeah guys it's time to start working on mine..... here is the schematic so far. So far only planned for the 1 6581 I have sitting next to me but.. in the future will get maxed out to 4. Just trieng to figure out how to implement a joystick since i cant code this thing myself... i'm on a mac and cant run the loader software. Also... what joystick from ELFA do you reccomend I've also found these so farhttp://www.bent-tronics.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=30&categoryId=2as well as http://www.analoguehaven.com/doepfer/spareparts/joystick/... any comments on these as possible options? Thanks guys! :)
SLP Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 nice design, but I don't think this is the right place to post it :/
stryd_one Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Agreed... Euphoricgrey do you mind if I split this into a topic in the SID forum for you to use as your blog?
TK. Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 Hi,With MBSID V2 you cannot use joystick or pots the same way it was possible with MBSID V1, as the analog inputs are not handled by MIOS anymore, but directly scanned as analog modulation sources by the firmware. The rest of the panel is fine, but please consider that for MBSID V2 the labeling is slightly different. See also http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=9040.0And since there is enough place on your panel, you could add an 8th modulation line for "Vol" (below "Filter")Best Regards, Thorsten.
TK. Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Euphoricgrey - for the case you are still reading the forum: analog inputs are now handled like knobs, which means, a joystick can control 2 * 4 sound parameters of the selected SID(s), and it can be used within the modulation matrix as modulation source. Analog input handling is flexible as never before - so, this hardware option is a good decition for MBSID V2 :)Best Regards, Thorsten.
