vocoder diy, your opinions please.

I knew about this topic for some time now, but the usage (digital crossover) is I think better handled inside the PC, EQ-ing as well. However, now I find it srsly interesting because of all the source code there, and I tought of the vocoder purpose few days ago  ;D

The TAS3108 is few pin dsp, can be directly hooked up to any kind of ADC/DAC, digital transmitter / receiver ( think of SPDIF or AES/EBU in/out with DIX4192) or codec chip like in the 4xD topic.
