Raikard
Hi, as i'm going to do a liveset where 2 laptops must be syncronized, using ableton live, i'm wondering if there's a way to use my midibox64 to send or receive midiclock. If someone can help me...let me know how i must setup the device!Thank you all, Rik ;)
dj3nk
Use the midi merger of the mb64. One laptop sends midi clock into your mb64.Now your mb64 sends its own data AND the midiclock over its midi out. Plug that in your 2nd laptop and configure your ableton to follow that midiclock.BUT you cant use the mb64 for the laptop which sends the midiclock. If you want to control both laptops with the same midibox (I mean note and cc events, not the clock), you need a 2nd midi out (search the forum for that if you dont have it already). But dont forget that you will receive the midiclock again on the sending laptop when the merger is enabled.Hope I could help you
Raikard
Thank you, i'll try!I have to control only one laptop with the mb64, the one that receives midiclock, so seems that the setting up can't be difficult, i'll see tomorrow.Rik
stryd_one
Maybe I'm missing something but what about:mb64 --> PC1 --> PC2 Where PC1 generates the clock and forwards incoming messages from the mb64, to PC2? This allows the mb64 to control either PC, if you want it to.
