here is a rough draft for a t-1 led board that will display midibox not all led positions will be used.I have yet to finish this.A double sided pc board with plated through holes is the best bet ,and leds can be adjusted during installation for straightness.I as yet have not done the top component view (the led orientation) yet as it has not been built yet. Here is a rough draft of a midi box t-1 led project .THIS IS NOT COMPLETE.NOT all led positions are used.I have a lot of work to do on this yet .The leds can be straightened during soldering and 1 led lead at a time then adjust straightness of led.I do have flasher circuitry ,which is not shown yet also the led orientation is not done yet. regards scottsober 2-15-2018

  6. I was looking at the sid firmware with the presets and other files .the 044 file had quite a few setup files for the mb6582 i used setup_mb6582 and presetsalso 8580_setup .Do I need more files for my mb6582 it is functioning now? regards....scottsober 7-5-2016
  7. I also wanted to know if i need to do anything with the mb6582_asm file or filter files. Which files do in need from the sid 044 download .so far all i used was the sid_8580.hex and the mb6582_hex are these all that i need or do i need to download more? The presets are in there already. How can I get the demo bassline number 5 to play also? thanks again if you could get my mb up to speed....----scotty 6-25-2016 7:25 am n.y. time

  9. Hello to all that can help, I took apart my mb6582 after it was operating 100% good.I reprogrammed the pic 4685 with studio 2 with id 0,1,2,3 and changed the jumper at core 0 to 0,1,2,3 and used 8580_sid.hex,for each id in studio 2and got the pics from smash tv.Now the mb6582 does not respond at the control surface.I noticed 4 of the lcd display wires were out,so i reattached them .I guess the screen says 002 l Pint Ld chn.1 1---l Lead Patch I tried to fix it but could not any help would be great thanks again ....----scottsober 6-24-2016
  10. I am new at my midibox mb6582 build. All was working well ,until I took it apart and re loaded the setup_8580 file into the core 0,1,2,3 4685 pics. Now i have a non responsive mb6582.i used my midi cables that i origionally used.I am wondering if i am uploading setup_8580 and changing the jumper at core 0 to 1 , 2 , 3 respectively and changing the device id at the studio 2 page is this correct? The presets say that they are getting stored but arent changed with the menu dial. The firmware is not loading or i am making a mistake.I had everything operating great at one point. When i removed the cover 4 of the lcd wires came off.I resoldered them, after carefully checking order and display is displaying e002 pint ld chn.1 1---lLead patch.None of the encoders or buttons will comply or respond at the control surface.any help would be appreciated....----scottsober 6-24-2016
  11. so then i would have to erase the bootloader and redo 1,2,3 pics and keep the device id for pic18f4685 (the first one)?I am not programming with midi devics e although i have a midi usb device with chord .Then i would use the midi after the boards were done in circuit programming then is this correct. What is the procedure shall i erase the bootloaders for pickit 2 then from all 4 and start all over again?thanks ....----scotty
  12. Hello again , I was able to get the pickit 2 to load the bootloader into 4 of the 18f4685 it read sucessful programming.A question is the device id should be 0 for all bootloader chips (all 4).Is this correct? I realize that when uploading the 8580 firmware that the jumpers need to be changed in the mb6582 circuit board.I was not sure if the pic bootloader device id needs to be changed . I am confirming that the device id is 0 for all 4 pics for the bootloader device id when using the pickit 2 ,and then later on the device 0,1,2,3 need to be changed when the pc board jumpers are changed inside the mb6582 for uploading the firmware for the 8580 sid 's hex firmware. Also what other file is the midi file for the bootloader? Is this just a different way of burning the bootloader in to the pic with midi?I used a pickit 2 ,so no midi file was needed.Should i have changed the device id i did not see a way to do this with a pickit 2 when burning the boot loader? Thanks for a really nice audio device i really like the mb6582 the inventors are audio, and code amazing people.....----thanks for help with pic questions I am still a begginner but i built and sold a mb a while back....----scottsober 1-16-2016

  24. To whom ever it may be that can and will help, I have a working midibox basic setup with lcd all is working except I have a bankstick attached and I don't know how to dump the files it needs into the memory. For some reason the save function is not displaying .Also I could not understand why the startup menu page on my screen is displaying no ensemble 2 or the page it said it was supposed to be on in the "first steps" page of the midibox manual.I can get some really nice synth effects out of this basic setup with my midikeyboard plugged in .I can also get the asidxp to play alot of computer music through my midibox .I thank you for any help and This project is truly incredible thanks to the creator of midibox( damn you do nice nice work on this project! )scott
