  1. Is anyone else using DIN Sync with an LPC17?
  2. I cut two cases one with rounded corners and one with square. I decided to keep the rounded, so I'm selling the extra at cost. Just the clear acrylic top and bottom pieces - $15 includes shipping to US. Not going to use them.
  3. What is song mode on the v4l?
  4. Is there a way to record a program change at the beginning of sequences on the v4l? I've tried just doing a program change while it's recording, but no luck there.
  5. Hi Soundwarrior, I looked around for some shaped buttons unsuccessfully. I'm sure they're out there, I'll post back if I come across any. One thing that might work is just applying a dot of superglue to a few buttons to help you get your bearings, similar to the way many computer keyboards have a raised area only on the f and j keys that still allow you to find the home row. The v4l is only 3 rows high, and at least for me the whole thing can fit under my hand so it's not difficult to tell which row i'm on. Can't help much with the case though, sorry, mine is acrylic.
  6. Just want to chime in and say I would also love this feature! Lemur blm with my v4l could make an outstandingly fun drum sequencer
  7. Remote access does work as described, but on occassion notes are coming through even though I'm holding C-7 down, and I'm also getting some stuck notes which I never did when I don't use remote access. I'll do some more testing when I'm in front of it and see if I can give a better description of what's going on.
  8. BTW the documentation in the repo for remote functions doesn't seem to work for me, see here: http://svnmios.midibox.org/listing.php?repname=svn.mios32&path=%2Ftrunk%2Fapps%2Fsequencers%2Fmidibox_seq_v4_lite%2Fdoc%2F
  9. The update fixed the issue I was having with remote access. Thanks TK!
  10. Sorry, I should have posted back to say it's working perfectly...I like it enough to start a build of a full blown SEQ V4. :D Is there a way to get out of the remote functions once you hit C7? I can see it being useful, but I'd like to be able to get back to using the keyboard normally, maybe by hitting C7 again? I'm also not sure that the tap tempo is working there. I could definitely use a drum sequence such as described in the wishlist, particularly if I could set something to be a drum sequence and have it no longer change scale when the scale of the other sequence changes (it seems like scale applies to both sequences which makes sense - unless it's a drum part).
  11. Thanks for the reply TK. Doing some more digging. First, I took the SD card out. I'm using an Alpha Juno 2 to test this. When I connect it to my laptop using an EMU Midi 1x1 tab and monitor it with Midi Monitor changing the channel on the aJuno changes the channel that is being sent (as expected). If I leave the aJuno on channel 1 and change the channel on my SEQ4L, the output is the channel that the SEQ is on. YES! Now that is some serious fun! My first question above is answered - it works! (woooo!), but things still do start to get a little strange when I increase the channel on the Alpha Juno...anything up to channel 4 works as above, but channel 5-16 show nothing at all on MIDI in in MIOS Studio. I've confirmed that it's not the Alpha Juno misbehaving with the EMU tab and by doing the same thing with a Novation Zero SL MkII. I've been back over my boards and don't see any bad joins, but I'm assuming this is not the expected behavior.
  12. I would like to use my SEQ V4L as a kind of recording multiplexer - basically it would continue to accept input from one channel (say channel 1) even after I've selected a different channel. I think it may be doable via the router but I'm not sure. I have had some luck with adding routes, but I haven't had luck recording once I have configured another route if that makes sense. I know I'm not going to be able to have more than 2 sequences until I build a v4 :) It would also be nice if I could have SEQ1 be on IN1 and OUT1 and SEQ2 on IN2 and OUT2, for example. That would be a different use-case, like sequencing two synths separately. Lastly, it seems like above channel 4, my seq stops hearing input on either input. It could just be my build, but I'm not sure where to look in that case. Thanks!
  13. I think the pulses would be on the clock pin, not the start/stop pin.
  14. That makes sense...I guess I misinterpreted the documentation: That said I still should be getting 3.3V on J28.SC, no?
  15. My Midibox Seq V4L is complete and beautiful. It works brilliantly. Now I want to mess up it's MIDI beauty by adding din sync in order to sync it's insanity with certain Roland devices. If I'm reading MBSEQ_HW.V4L correctly with LPC17 as my core, by default it should output clock to J28.SDA and start/stop to J28.SC. If my understanding of din sync is correct (and this could be where things go awry), J28.SC should give me +5v as long as the pattern is playing. I don't have a scope handy so I'm trying to test this with a multimeter. I'm not getting any voltage on J28.SC or P2.11 on the Xpresso board even when the pattern is playing. Either I'm misunderstanding how din sync works or I'm missing a step here. I'm still waiting for a sd card in the mail so I'm working from the default configuration at the moment. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!
  16. Is it available at SmashTV? I'm not seeing it. I think doing something 'official' first is a good idea, I'm just leaning toward SEQv4 so I'm hesitant to build a V4L just to see what the platform is like.
  17. Greetings Midiboxen, I've had too many hardware problems that lead me back to midibox, so it's time for me to dive in. I want to start with something simple before making my way to the seq v4 or v4L (to be decided). Julienvoirin's Alpha Juno 2 translator is a project that seems like it would have a lot of payoff in my current setup: But, it looks like it's based on the now-expired STM32 module. So, my first question is what will I need to do to get this to run on the LPC17? Sorry if this is the wrong place for this first post :D
