  1. I had this idea when I realised that the Panasonic motorfaders are useless in the LC emulation(not touch sensitive).

So i though that instead of the motorfaders to have another 8 encoders that means 17 in total.

My querry is firstly are there 8 available spare connectors for the encoders and last does that need changes in the code?

    Thanx

  2. Hi everyone

  4. Hello everyboby

I ve been away for few of months but now I think I should finnish tha LC Emu.

The only problem is that I can't find any G-LCD in Greece so I have to order from EC or USA. I tried reichelt as T suggest but couldnt find the 240x64 KS0107-8 display from displaytech.

So any suggestions will be really helpfull.

If I use 128x64 I will be able to see everithing?

    Thanx

    PS Its to [glow=red,2,300]HOT[/glow] down here 8) 8) 8)

  5. After some research on Panasonic faders i come up with: http://www.panasonic.com/industrial/components/potentiometers.htm

Check the Slide Potentiometers/EVA(B)NL/EVA(B)NC which offer: Compact and 3-track version available — servo, touch sensor and audio.

The only thing is that I cant find them anywhere in Europe so if anyone knows a Panasonic dealer who can do less than 10 pieces I would like to make an order :)

    Regards

    Dimitris

  6. Ok I am not that familiar with assembly, neither with digital electronics ferther than Ohms law so I think I am stack on some point.

Building a LC emulation with MIOS.

As I see in the tables.inc of the LC application I only see registers

    MIOS_MPROC_EVENT_TABLE

         ;; entry 0x00-0x0f

                                 ;; Rec/Ready Buttons

         MT_ENTRY      0x90, 0x00      ; Rec/Rdy Track1

The addresses 0x00-0x0f reffer to first DINX module or the first 16 pins of the first DINX. Same goes for DOUTS etc.

It might sound silly but I am really confussed  ??? ??? ???

  7. Hi Uclaros

Make that order and you will get them for free.

    [tt]Item:  PIC18F452-I/P

    Quantity:  3

    Ship Date:  03/11/2003

Shipped From:  Microchip Thailand Sample Whse (FBS)

    Carrier:  Federal Express INT'Priority (FXI)

    [/tt]

The only think is the time required about a month... :(

  8. Well done Thorsten,

I think the configuration with two 2*40 LCDs is better but I think is cheapper to get one 128*64 :) Got to do some research.

I already got most of the parts around my deck to build up an LC I only have some (a lot maybe) questions:

The split mode for encoders: how many encoders support?

Is there a particular way of cabling all the DINX4 together to achive the right orientation of mute solo etc?

Ok enough questions for today... ;)

    Regards

    Dimitris

  9. I am a little bit confused.  ???

In an earlier post I made a question about the required modules and Thorsten had replied with ok but as I see now things are different  ???

    I wrote :

Some rough thoughts are for 96 buttons needed 3 DOUT

Also another DOUT for led rings

1 DINX for the 9 encoders 8 for channels 1 for scrub wheel

1 AINX for the 9 faders8 for channels 1 for master.

    Thorsten replied

    Hi Dimitris,

your thoughts to this solution are correct.

Only one core and the modules you've listed.

The comfusion is all about the number of DINX and DOUT modules needed.

Maybe I have to wait to see the upcoming documantaion which probably answer my silly question  :-[
