the SID enclosure is a problem also for me... but before finding something in which putting the circuit i have to let it work! ;D anyway, if someone find somethi9ng, let us know... spending 40 euro for th smallest rack unit is a theft!

i have just terminated my CORE module for my SID project. i will do the test in the following days, because i lack the connector for the power supply,. so there is time for some questions! :-) 1) is there any kind of test i can do (apart the voltage control) in order to be sure that the core works, after PIC programming and PC MIDI connection? (some sort of sysex/MIDI communication with MIDI-OX for example...) 2) i have used a TL05 voltage regulator without heatsink... is it safe?? 3) i will not mount the LCD screen. will i have to connect the two trimmers P1 and P2? should i connect a resistor or leave the contacts open?? 4) all the connectors not used in the SID configurations should be leaved open, right? :-) 5) i have a power supply at 16V 800-900mA (don't remember...) is it OK for powering both module?? thank you very much!! matteo

i had no problems with my current midibox 16 firmware... if i upgrade to next version i have to change the hardware connections like you said, i suppose?

i too am about to build my sid synth! i will use 1 core and 1 sid module and will control everything with my PC thru CC. (no LCD, no banckstic, no knobs...) i have a quesition about power supply: which kind of adaptor should i buy (V out and ampere)? is it correct to use the same adaptor for sid and core? i was reading that sid will heat a lot during operation, i will mount a cooler on it (copper cooler or whatever i found, like the one are found on the video card) and a small fan in the rack.

after midibox 16 (which i build 1yeard and a half ago), i plan to build the SID synth. anyone did this before? any suggestion? thanks!

is there a way to send a sysex to the midibox plus to enable/disable the snap mode, parallax mode, etc?? it not, will you implement it for new firmware release, thorsten? (PLEEEASE!! :))
