  1. Hi, Does anyone know where I can buy the Alps motorized faders ALPS RSAON11M9. After 3 years of use, i fancy upgrading my Midibox :)
  2. ;D ;D Fantastic ;D ;D I was toying with the idea of adding some graphics to my midibox but couldnt be bothered to sit down with a pencil and graph paper ;) Thank you Captain Hastings.

  4. Its a steep learning curve but look at all the example zips that Tk has given us ;) for clues on how to do it. In the meantime look at the file mios_tables.inc in the zip this has all the cc codes for the application, just change them to suit your apps. As you have 16pots change the first 16 entrys the same with the buttons. Good luck
  5. Hi The hex file is in 7bit code (for midi) and would be a total pain to edit Therefore get microchip assembler prog and open the asm file in that (Free download) I am a total noobie to assembler but after going through the code it became clear what was going on and therefore easier to edit. Good Luck
  6. HI NOTHING WRONG WITH THE W005 I'VE GOT ONE ON MY CORE WORKING FINE ;) THE PROBLEM IS THE C4 CAP IT SHOULD BE AN ELECTROLIC SEE SMASH'S SITE FOR PIC http://avi.dezines.com/mbhp/mbhp_core.htm TRY THAT FIRST IF STILL GOT PROBLEMS GET A NEW 7805
  7. Hi If you fitted log pots the midibox would be more prone to jitter caused by closer values at the top of the log scale. Try to find out what pot the cc relates to and turn the pot right down this will increase the gap between resistance values and therefore stop the jitter.
  8. ;D Thank you Smash After building my midibox, I am contemplating building the Sid project So now I know where to go for the pcbs - parts Worth the wait !
  9. Not having much luck are you :-/ The datasheets i mentioned should be available from the supplier of the transistor. Like i mentioned earlier the legs sometimes are on a different order ie C-B-E or E B C depending on the case.Try Google with the transistor markings I had to use my works computer (WIN9x) to Burn my Pic because i couldn't get mine to work (Win2000) Another thing i did was to move the I/O delay in IC prog. If all fails though post where your from, and maybe another member can burn your pic for you. ;)
  10. Hi cjlargear The problems not new so keep trying and then you will crack it. ;) I agree with JS check those transistors, the transistors I received looked the same as TK's pics but checking the datasheet I discovered the legs were in a different order. Also I had a dodgy conection on the din socket. But after what seemed an eternity the file was transfered ;D So don't give up Good luck Mark
  11. Thanks for the post Thorsten ;) I did some research on the net, it appears the first lcd I bought wasn't compatable ! ::) The second lcd was compatable, and after wriggling the ribbon cable the display fired up with MIOS 1.2, it appears I had a broken wire somewhere in the cable. THANK YOU ;D FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK. Mark
  12. Sorry Icam if you are reading this thinking its a solution but i have the same problem. ??? I have tried a new display but I still get 16 filled rectangles on the lcd I have checked the wiring and that is Ok and everything else is doing what it is supposed to Will be checking this post to see if a solution/suggestion :-/
  13. Hi Sorry if this has been answered already on the forum but i couldnt find the answer I am using one ain module with 32 pots i seem to be getting a lot of random sysex sent. Do i need to ground the pins a4-a7 of jumper 5 of the core ?
  14. I tried a new bootsrap and have just uploaded the mios operating system. All is working ;D Thanks
  15. Hi when I first power up the core I get the sysex F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F7 ;D Only problem is that it is continuously sent over and over again, and am unable to get a reply to the sent message F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0F F7 :-/ I Can t find any shorts on the board so any suggestions would be most welcome. I am also using a 5.7k resistor on the pic to optocoupler midi input as I am unable to obtain a 5.6k is this okay or do I need to locate a 5.6k resistor ! ???
