Hey folks! Just read this thread because i have a similar problem with the mf Modul! Just could get about 0,5 V out of it. I have two mf boards, none works. To specify the error, i measured some values. The Voltage reference(lm 317) which should be 1,5, is only 0,45 V. (the same on the second mf board) Measure results: Ground - Input lm 317 = 10,8 V (a little bit less, i tried another power supply with 13,5 V = the same results) Potentiometer 0 Ohm: Input - output lm 317 = 0,45 V Input - adjust lm 317 = 0,25 V Potentiometer 1 kohm:Input - output lm 317 = 0,45 V Input - adjust lm 317 = 0,45 V I didnt try other values at r1, because it must be significantly higher than it is. It dont minds whether position the potentiometer stands, its alway 0,45V output at c4. I really cant believe that all two of the lm317 are gone into the nirwana. I will try a new lm317 on a printboard. But its a really strange behaviour. Hopefully someone could help me out with some tips, or exprenciences from someone who had a similar prob and solved it! thx in advance Schoko

Ein kurzer Statusbericht. Das Problem habe ich jetzt lokalisiert, es war der PIC selber der nicht mehr funktioniert hat. Auf den Analog pins die die Spannungen an den PIC weiterreichen, lagen verschiedensten Spannungen an, da dürfte der Mikrokontroller durchgebrannt sein. Um Zeit zu sparen empfehle ich all jenen die ähnlichen Probleme haben, mit einer nakten Konfiguration anzufangen, das habe ich nämlich nicht gemacht. Hat eine Menge zeit gekostet. Hallo allersteits! Habe aufmerksam diesen Thread gelesen da ich ein ähnliches Problem habe(Midibox LC)! Zuerst konnte ich mios nicht aufspielen, da ich 2 Leitungen beim Midi anschluß vertauscht habe! Dann ließ sich mios v1.7 aufspielen, und da ich keinen Bankstick habe, war keine änderung am Core modul notwendig. Wie in der Anleitung stand ist das Aufspielen vom Mios erfolgreich, wenn die Meldung F0 am Anfang der Sysex Meldung steht, was dann auch so war. Das Display wurde darauf hin aber nicht angesprochen, und hatte wie von Anfang an schwarze Kästchen in der oberen Reihe! Nichstdesto trotz habe ich lc 1.5 aufgespielt und es scheint auch mehr oder weniger zu funktionieren in nuendo ( Taster funktionieren, leds leuchten teilweise , Encoder mit 16 leds als ledkranz, und motorfader funktionieren gar nicht, genauso wie die ledmeter..16 leds..) Desweiteren werden auf 8 Kanälen Pitch events kontinuierlich gesendet.(Von den Panasonic Motorfader?) Habe auch noch einmal von Vorne angefangen mit Bootstrap loader, mios, lc. Das alles funktioniert einwandfrei. Vielleicht kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen, bevor noch weitere Tage vergehen. Danke im voraus schoko

Habe ebenfalls mal Panasonic Motorfader bestellt, und die versenden weltweit, allerdings habe ich da mindestens so 70 euro für zoll und dergleichen noch draufgelegt, falls du welche bestellen willst, wäre ich ebenfalls interessiert, bitte per PM wo und wann! Klaus

Hallo erstmal! Hab da ein paar Fragen zu den Led meter 1.) Hat schon jemand probiert mehr als 16 Leds anzusteuern? Wenn ja geht das? (z.b. extra dout modul) 2.) Axel erwähnte das die led meter relativ langsam reagieren, an was liegt das? Und noch eine Frage zur lc.. Ich möchte zusätzlich zu den 8 mf 8 potis über denselben Core anschließen, ist dies möglich mittels einem ain modul? Dank im voraus schoko

Hmm aha .. nur noch 2 kurze fragen... der gpc modus verfügt über 128 events.. ist das jetzt pro Mc gerechnet, oder wären es dann in meinem fall 256? Gibt es eine Implementation die es erlaubt, diese events mit jogwheel und oder taster anzusteuern... ( bei 256 events wären das ja 32 layer) nur so interesse halber.... danke im voraus

Hallo erstmal! Um mir Klarheit zu verschaffen, möchte ich noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten erfragen.... 1.) Da ich Cubase User bin und LC/MC hier den besten Support hat, habe ich mich entschlossen, 2xMC zu bauen. Da dies jedoch noch nicht all mein Anforderungen erfüllt, brauche ich zudem noch etwas zusätzliches, eine MB 64 die den zweck hat (C-Console zu steuern)... Ist es nun möglich die MC via Taster umzuschalten so das sie C-Console bedienen kann (eventuell anderer Midi-port)? Also quasi 2xMc und 1x MB 64(oder ähnliches), soll auf 2 x Cores betrieben werden.... 2.) Lassen sich diese Funktionen mit dem GPC einrichten? Danke im voraus für jede antwort

I mainly thought on using the bankstick to store the setup for the dsp factory control app. means with loading the configuration of the first bankstick i can control cubase with houston... and the second bankstick holds the information for c-console... just need enough buttons for the assignments.. or do i need a third core for controlling c-console as mb64? thx for the patience

anyone has an idea where to get a description or a manual for this protocoll? thx in advance ???

1. ) Is it possible to use 2 houston emulation(mios) with cubase, with the exception of using for example just the faders to control c-console ( dsp factory remote able visualisation) 2.)can i use a third display on 1 core module? is it connectable like the second display, => to rc5 ???

Which type of display do i need to emulate houston? Did i need the glcd display like at the logic control? Couldn´t figure it out.... thx for any helps...

is a numeric keypad supplied by mios...? and would it be possible to use normal buttons as keypad thx in advance for any help

hi stephen, i use c-console from c-mexx, but i´d be happier, if i could use the remote o1v setup, by cubase itself.... so i asked if there is someone here who tried to modify midi to this purposes.... another prog (c-console), means sometimes that i have to reset my 2 dsp factorys (audio breaks).. so it would be fine if cubase thinks there are 2 o1v on the midi line who remotes the 2 pci cards... besides that it works quite well with this configuration now.... if someone allready tried to control something like this i would be happy about any comments about this theme just to make it clear...

Just tested it out and it works under xp, but the driver problem is the same then before ( the link u gave links to v1_1 not 1_0.. just for the records) i managed it to install it under win98 se, then i load up the firmware, and then it works under xp too... like u describe it, the important thing was to burn the eeprom... The reset problem was the c3 cond.. he decided to rest in peace........ just to inform you and maybe other ppls who maybe get or got similar probs... thx for your support.... the next midi project is waiting schoko

To finally complete this, for the information and to get to the next trouble, i removed c3 and r27, then the module got recognised... under w98 i can choose the supplied driver, but for win xp (@sp1) when i choose the driver (archive 1_1) then i got the message, that there hasnt been found any hardware.... the driver doesnt work........ so another time i need any help plz

Still doesnt work... i measured 3.3v (Vcc - reset) and 10 kOhm reset to Vss all the time.... the function should be a short impuls... the wiring is ok... i checked out everything, means the only thing i finaly could do now is checking a new crystal or measuring it with a scope.......(badly that i can hardly check that out) Cond. C3 couldnt unload.... thats the fault Is that this correct?

thx for your quick reply... i have enabled the usb ports in the bios.. it was the first thing i did... I guess the short 3,3v impuls on the reset button cant also be measured by a multimeter... but i think i measured a voltage of 3,3v all the time, not sure have to check it again... if thats the case (always 3,3) what to do? is this then caused by bad soldering? Means it cant reset the usb chip at startup? Hopefully not would be a difficult task to fullfill

I soldered all contacts again..... still nothing happen... how can i determine if the crystal is allright? I measured about 1,5 V on the crystal is that o.k.? Its my only chance to get it run i couldnt figure out any errors, all pins have contacts to the pcb, as far as i can measure it with my voltmeter..... how can i check the reset inputs? i am using xp thx in advance

has anyone tried to control the dsp factory via a mios project or something similar.... it should behave like an external 01v...... i use for visualisation the c-mexx prog for the dsp factory (www.c-mexx.com) as it lets control everything of the dsp factory.......

After finishing the module i want to try it out, but nothing happen.... It should be workin as standalone.... Then i tried to search the error, i measured the supply voltage on the AN2131SC, the eeprom, all other ics have power everything fine... I also checked the diodes (all 3) seems fine too... Midi in reacts when a midi device is plugged in( the midi in leds are blinking) Can anyone help plz?
