heya! it seems that usb module work great ,but i´m having seious probles conectting it to core module. that is what i have do exactly: i have conected vs pin of core to vs of usb, MI pin of core to MO pin of usb, Mo pin of core to MI pin of usb.(i think the how to power core module and usb.pdf file is wrong,because if i connect Mi to Mi and Mo to Mo midibox does not send midi and pc does not recognize the usb module..so..) vd pin not conected. optoacoupler are stuffed. ok,my midibox was programed with some buttons an led in toggle mode(with Vmidibox)and i could manage my secuencier with midibox.but i say:"lets see if i can Sysex".....but.....lcd says that is receiving sysex and Sysex dump complette.....but not true...pots are with metaevents...buttons with on/off mode an like note,not like cc.....uff.....very stange.... usb module is powered from usb port. what is wrong?? midibox is sending midi(metaevents and note on/off.....but i want cc´s)but doesnt receive ....os yes but something goes wrong...... could anyone help me? Thorsten??  Pay_c??  AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!  I need help!!!

hi doc! thanks!! ;) but the problem was other...windows milleniun!! this morning i plug usb module in a pc with w98 and...voila!! now is working,and as you say,win Me dettect it as an usb audio device! thanks again for your hellp!!

yeah!ok ok !! now is ok! lm317 was wrong but after i burn iic eeprom it says "vendor request failed" .is this ok? it seems that iic eeprom is not burned.. my pc dettect usb module as unknown and unavailable..is this ok?have i to install any driver ? thanks

hi thosten! first,there is one thing wrong on usb module.pdf.the resistor on pin13 of an2131sc must be 27 instead 8,no? my problem is that i have just finished usb module,i connect it but pc doesnt dettect it.what´s wrong?all the soldering points are ok,and bridges.only that i havent plug in r12 and r9 because i have lost them,,jaja..must be that?power led is turned on and midi leds jitter. what can i do?must be my windows ME? please,answer me as soon as you can. thanks

hola.en el apartado de cada modulo hay una lista para descargarte(un txt)q viene de la web de Reichelt,en la q suelen venir detallados todos los componentes y sus rangos tension(voltage),de manera q sin problemas.y condensadores de,por ejemplo,33pF,se piden asi sin mas,porque se sobre entiende q se necesitan los de minimo voltage. si tienes alguna duda mas,no dudes en pedir ayuda,yo tengo mi midibox acabada,ahora le estoy haciendo el modulo usb. saludos y animo!

can i use 6n136 optocoupler instead 6n148 in usb module?? thanks

heya! problems solved! ther was a wire doing a false conection!! and the first error,midi time out,has been solved setting  the download rate of vmidibox to 120 bytes/s. thanks Pay_c and Thorsten!! ;D

i try that..but somethig goes wrong..now midi box doesnt receive midi!!all conexions are ok...whats wrong now?

ok...but in midiox program...where can i change that rate value? i have tried upload mios v1.5,but after midibox says Rebooting,it says Mios.V1.4......whats happening? i have tried with virtual midibox...but i cant send sysex unless i deactivate midi merger on midibox....ok..i click on send sysex comand on screen...lcd say receiving sysex dump...but it stops suddendly before the program stops sending the sysex! i cant found the fail...please..help me.. thanks

hi!! i have just finished my midibox 64,but it usually give me this error : "Midi time out. Wassup??" that happens when i try to upload a Syx file...but not always....what is happening?? all conections in the core are ok,and midi out of midibox goes fine....please answer me!! thanks!!

hola! ya esta arreglado?sabes lo que era?estoy usando una fuente de pc.el core lo alimento a traves del 7805 con 12V,y los modulos con la salida de 5V de la fuente.ese era el problema,parece ser q para q los muestreos del pic sean correctos la fuente de 5V ha de ser la misma!entonces alimente los modulos desde el 7805 y todo ok!muchas gracias por responder!nos vemos! ;D

ok! i found the fault! i was using diferent power supplies,one of 12V for core and one of 5V for modules and pots! it seems that pic need to use the same power supply to get the right values. thanks for your help eh!!!! ;D

hola! yo espero acabar la mia en breve,si solvento mis problemas...los valores de los pots me varian de 0 a 97 o 102 en algun caso..solo he probado con un pot y los demas puestos a masa..sabes q puede ser? por cierto,soy el amigo de Dr.sidewinder,que te mando hace meses algun q otro mail con problemas q teniamos,pero q sepas q nos va ok! saludos y espero q me puedas ayudar y responder!

hi! i´m doing a midibox64,i have 2 ain modules,2 din modules and 1 dout module. the midibox64 latest firmware for pic18f452 is correctly loaded.all modules are powered to 5V(not the dout module).i put 63 ain inputs to ground and one conected to a 10k lineal pot,but the value of pot on the lcd only goes from 0 to 97 or 102. what is wrong? how can i solve this? pots value may goes from 0 to 127..not? please answer me!! i´m going crazy!! Thorsten help me please!!!is very important!! :'( thanks !! ;)

??? sorry ..my english is a rubish!! i´ll give you an example: i want to conect with usb module my midibox64(conected internally to the core using j11) and 2 midi keyboards......can i do this? and another question: when i dont use midi inputs...optocouplers can be stuffed or not?? thanks!!!!

heya! ok,i ´ll explain it. when i power on my core,programed with midibox64V2.1,in the lcd appears Ready!, after this, MidiBox 64 Thorsten Klose 2003 ©.ok, and after this, appears an int value of reverb. is it ok??? i think it could be that a pot line is not grounded,but i want know what screen i ´ll have to se if every thing is ok.

heya!i am finishing my midibox64,i have already a lot of work....and i have 2 questions: 1) i have program it with mios,and after that,with Midibox 64 v2.i power on,ready! Mios V1.03 etc etc...and...what shoould appear?? i have in the screen(with all pots pins to ground..or i think so)a reverb value. 2)Leds.if i dont change nothing...led 1 belong to button 1,led 2 to button 2..etc etc???i can change this? where? thanks!!! ;)

heya! i dont know because i didnt do that never,but it seems to work.i think you can do one think:load de example ain_din_dout,put the 8 pins of ain inputs on the core to ground(to avoid unwanted midi signal)and try the buttons,in the display will appear button id,i suppose that in the midiox so.try it. ;D

hola! encoders por pots?? imposible hasta donde yo veo!! de todas maneras...la midibox16 no la conozco..debe ser una version de las primeras q se hicieron...yo me estoy haciendo una 64 y me va de perlas!!.si tu quieres hacerte una 16,solo con pots,deberias usar un modulo core y un modulo ain,poniendo las otras 16 entradas de pots a masa. de todas maneras si quieres indicame en que proyecto q has visto te quieres basar y le echare un vistazo.okis?? bye!! ;)
