  1. It kind of works now. But the pins sems to wrong like 4 is 7. This is the last thing for me to fix. Could it be a short in one of the leds? It´s driving me mad!!! :'(
  2. SR 5 is OK can the rest be wrong. If so what? :'(

  4. And mac midi driver in MIOSstudio to!!! Please?? :-X http://www.humatic.de/htools/mmj.htm
  5. Having a bit of trouble. I cant get the leds trigger layer and step view. SR 5 is OK now pin 0, 2, 4, 6, to group select leds. But SR 6, 7, and 8 gives nothing? Anybody know what pins of SR 5,6,7 and 8 are free to use?
  6. I just upgraded mine and it went from a great machine to a super machine. I think it´s a monomachine !!!!!!!!. ;D Edit... Stupid choice of words... embarassed .....sorry
  7. What about mid IIC in? ::) Can I use that and core midi out?
  8. :D Hell yes! Nice work TK... can´t wait.... need get my sid upgraded!
  9. Hi all!! My sequnecer is taking form. Just a couple of days left. Waiting for front panel!! I decided to go for encoders with push buttons for the GP butttons and a 4x40 LCD display. I know it has been discussed before and it its not recomended. I will get back on the subject, dont think it matter that much and i like the idea of a different design. Mine will be kind of like like the schrittmacher. So we will se if its OK... ::) Now my question.. Does it make sence to put the CORE MIDI out on the box? Is it usable at all? As I see it it will bring 5 midi outs if you are not using the midi in on the core. Or does it interfer with the IIC in to? ??? I will use two IIC midi it to start with, I think its OK with 2 or maybe 3 ports for 16 midi channels. Opinions please! ;)
  10. And the pull-up resistor for the SD line is on the CORE v3 board ,so i do not need to solder an extra?? ???
  11. I figured but what pin is it? ..//Mattias
  12. The chopping of menus is not a big deal. They will be cut in the same place as with two 2x40:s. But I cant find any info on what pin E2 shulod be conected to on the CORE? I am also planing to use encoders with "buttons" insted of the 16 step buttons. If it´s not a bad idea? ???
  13. So what i chose when selecting ID is what port MIOS uses by default. For uploading apps. And it should be one of the IIC:s!? In the SEQ app all ports will show up? IIC#1 IIC#2 and the core internal.. So I will have to use 0000 0000 0010 0000 for IIC#1 as MIOS default! Did I get it!? ../Mattias
  14. I am about to order a core kit for my SEQ. But I do not understand how to chose ID for the chip. I plan to use 2 midi IIC:s for midi out, and would like to keep the internal (original) midi out for an extra port. When nothing is going in on the in port. If someone could be so nice and explain how to find out what ID my PIC should have. #0000 0000 0010 0000, or is it #0000 0000 0000 0000
  15. So you recomend two 2x40 then? Is the other doable or is there serius coding required? I have got limited surface on my box so if I use two lcd:s i have to stack them, I cant fit them side by side. Any ideas? ..//Mattias
  16. Hi all.. Is it possible to use a single 4x40 lcd insted of two 2x40 lcds for MBSEQ v.3? ..//Mattias
  17. Did you know this... Yamaha FM is really PM... ??? http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/audio/misc/pm-intro Any how, can you whit MBFM controll the drums from the wavetable sequenser (like a drummachine)? I also need to know if there is some kind of filter? Not really needed since FM can produce mad sounds any way.. but can´t se any info on that. If some one could give some demo sound examples on the drums it would be nice... (hell I want more demo sounds of the FM drums or not). I am about to start my FM project. But since I fucked up desoldering my 512 I need to get more cards. I have finnished my SID rack for now.. How do I get it on MB of the week? ../Mattias

    PSU...??

Can´t say.. I am not an electronics expert. I think 8.5 V s1 and 14 V s2 and s3!! But here is the data from elfa. Mfr. Noratel (former Toroid Toroidal core transformer adapted to produce 5 and ±12 V regulated direct voltage. Designed to provide sufficient voltage down to 10% for low mains voltage. Primary voltage 230 V, centre tap for 115 V. Fusing is best performed on the secondary side with a fuse value as close as possible to the winding's rated current. Simple installation with a single centre bolt. But anyhow your alternative looks very interessting since it´s totaly plug and play. ../Mattias

    PSU...??

Wouldn´t this be good for MBFM? It´s like 20 euro from ELFA.. Maybe Ishould get one for my SID also? What about fuses, were do i put them?
  20. Any news on this! Could Sidstation banks be converted somehow? By splitting them to patches.... This is vey interesting.
  21. So we all have to build the IIC midi mod. For V 2.0. Just wondering ?? Do we need one for every SLAVE or just one for the CORE on the MB SID?? ???
  22. You dont have to sell the SEQ app just make it Avail as open source here on ucapps! There is a analog drum module DS7 or DS8 available here http://m.bareille.free.fr/ds7clone/ds7.htm. It runs on 5v and would be a nice alternative for a simple MIDIBOX drummachine. I think it sounds rather cool to. Just imagine a few of those and a TR style sequenser. Got news on that 808 case? My next MIDIBOX is going to a drummachine if I´m not getting a jomox 09! Price info please, on the 808 kit i was planing to get the 9090 kit it would be easy to trigger it from an MBSEQ. But that solution would be rather expensive.
  23. Since NRPNs will be used instead of CCs, can you still use CCs from the SID CC implementation chart?
  24. I have just solved it!! All I had to do was to connect a ground wire from core to core. It was a groundloop or something... when i had MIDI out conneted the core was grounded from my midi interface (I think). But now i do not need MIDI out connected and i can plug and replug audio. ??? The first core is not connected to the SID:s I plan to drive the LCD and the leds from it to spare the regulator. All the SID:s 5v will be driven by the second core. Thanks anyway for your quick responce!
