Ok Thorsen . . . now I have the right voltage at the core and sid module !!! I will debug the other SID module, I'm sure that it is the probem. Now . . . can you tell me if the PC midi-port is the 16 pins yellow one ? Is it called gameport/midi as well ? Thank you moeb and thorsen . . . you're the best. :) EDIT : Could I buy a Gameport/MIDI to MIDI (DIN) cable ? That's the way you upload the SID app and the S.O to the PIC, right ? You still the best :D

Ok I'd disconneted the SID module and now I get the right voltage on the core . . . but the main problem now is the 14 VDC output. I can't get it out . . It's well connected but .. don't know . . any comments about ?

Yes , the middle pin is connected to the +5VDC circuit . . . I get 2-7 VCD when i measure it with the multimeter ... any answer moeb ?

Should I use the voltage rectificators on other modules once I used it on the PSU ? Thanks.

Hi . . i think i did everithing right, more than think, I'm sure about it. But I can't get the 14 VCD from the PSU. I get the 5VDC out, but not the 14. Any ideas ?

Problems solved, bu now I just have a humming sound coming out the sid. Can you tell me how can I erase all the PIC content uploaded for now and put up the new versions ? I can't find that info. I have been all the evening looking for it. Thanks!

I have to power the jack-in ? I bought 4 stereo ins and i found that each of them have 4 legs with wholes. Can somebody specify if I have to power them ? If not, I just leave alone the power leg ? Thanks :)

Yes, I thougt on that before . . . the IN(s) are not so important, since youdon't have to input any audio signals on the box. But . . what kind of parts do you use ? RCA, BIG JACKS . . . Sorry for repeating the question, but i should know it ;D Thanks a lot everybody.

Can somebody tell me where the "small resistors to improve the power integrity" are going exactly on the power core module and the SID module ? I can't find out where they go mounted. Thanks ! ;) P.D : My new PSU is coming in a week kokoon ! :D

Ok, I understand . . . just 1 core module will mange the MIDI connections. It should be the one who carryes the master PIC, right ?

I finished my PSU as well without help . . just think a little bit and follow the optimized_psu-pdf schematic. It's fun ! And even did it with a self made bridge rectificator, because i bought the parts and the shop gave me the "parts" of a rectificator, not a rectificator itself. ;D After squeeze your brain a little bit it's fun ! Ask to an electronics professor at your institute/college. That gave me a lot of help in all this stuff, as well understanding electronics and know other important things like using a multimeter. Fight for it ! Best regards.

Paypal returned me my spent money due to my complaint . . . and the message returned by centsible besides my money is : We are temporarily unable to locate the rest of our 8580 SID chips due to the last inventory moving (see website), so we are issuing a full refund. That's it. :)

kokoon, don't think that i left this thread . . i'm waiting for the PSU to come from Finland . . . after the package comes i will start disturbing you again.... :D I'm joking . . . just let you know that i mounted up the two SID modules too, so it's going to see faster if the system works when the PSU arrives here. Hello ! Yesterday i was helping an old man who is a great compositor to route his studio properly . . well, suddenly he'd advert me about he is selling a lot of his studio gear, due to that he is suffering a degenerative illness. He will not be able to do a lot of things that he was doing with music as he did till these days. He told me to buy a brand new multi-effect processor from him, of the ART brand. Is very small and symple. . . and after that an idea comes to me. That processor will cost me 10 €, so i can experiment with it. I want to ask if it's possible to attach that processor in to my MBSID design. Can somebody give me an opinion about it ? Thanks.
