  1. Understood. I just happen to have a 4x40 LCD in one of my old project. I'm wondering if I can re-use that LCD.:( But for the sake of upgradability, I'll be happy to buy those extra LCD. ;D docbrown...
  2. Just reviving this thread to my purpose, other as well, Im sure... ;D Can you use 4x40 HD44780 LCD in MBSEQv2, as suppose to a two separate 2x40 LCD? docbrown..
  3. How about a piece of plexi/lexan glass. Or if you find a nice dome shaped translucent plastic it will look like a Korg M1's button. ;) docbrown..
  4. Not yet for me, I'm still waiting for my MBSEQv2 PCB kit order.:( Another idea for the wire is by using a small solder wick as a conductor, soldered directly on the LED. docbrown...
  5. Guys, Just browsing the web, look what I found that works well with cheaters idea. Its called Axial LED. Here's the link: http://www.para.com.tw/products/details.php?g=cG4lM0QzJTI2cF9pZCUzRDQ1Mg== Now, all we need to do is to look for the cheapest and somewhat largest one that can be a size of a button. ;) later: docbrown
  6. Yes, they are kinda oxidized. I'm picking up a few new LEDs from Radio Shack.. thanks.. docbrown..
  7. TK, Again, thanks a lot!! I'm just starting to find my ways around this forum and the sites. Lots of information around here. My eyes is :o, excelent sites here!! docbrown..
  8. Guys, Questions: 1. Can I use a single 24LC512 BankStick on MBSEQv2? If not, 2. How many 24LC256 BankStick can the MBSEQv2 support if I stack them? thanks!!
  9. I did exactly as describe above. So far I broke a few LED legs with this process. I guess I not carefull enough. >:( Any luck cheater? docbrown..
  10. Stryd, Vx sound very nice, it seems very flexible!! Keep up the good work. Good luck! :) docbrown..
  11. Just to follow up on this thread. SmashTV is "Awesome". ;D He made those changes in my order and got back with me very quick!! SmashTV and TK you guys ROCK!!! ;D
  12. TK, Thanks for the advise. Time for me to modify the order some how with SmashTV. I hope he can make an exception. If not, I will just not connect the switch part of the encoder and give the GP buttons a traditional switch. thanks again.. docbrown.
  13. TK, Thanks for the answer about note triggering. Regarding the encoder with switch, I plan to use it as a replacement for the GP buttons, like muting the step, tracks and such while in edit mode. Another thing, how about having the "Select" switch with the datawheel? Do you think this will work? I hope yes, cuz I already place an order with SmashTV, about 17 encoders with switch!! thanks again in advance.. docbrown.
  14. Hi all, Sorry for another newbie questions. Since my orders of MBSEQv2 PCB kits is being processed, I still have some few questions about MBSEQv2, its operations and workflow. :( Questions: 1. Can you trigger simple notes or drum lines with MBSEQv2 without having a midi keyboard attached to it? Basically, just a sound module and MBSEQv2. 2. Continued question from number 1: Or is this how most of you guys use MBSEQv2? 3. Do anybody in this forum used a encoder with switch on their MBSEQv2? If so, what are the pro's and con's regarding its functionality. thanks: docbrown..
  15. TK, Makes sense now about the arpeggio. I also did a little bit more of research about step sequencer in the net, I kinda got the idea about the difference between the two now. FYI, I diving in with guys on this awesome thing. I just place an order with SmashTV for kits and encoders!! You guys ROCKS!! thanks!!
  16. Sorry for being vague, just to clarify things: Yes, I am aware of this being a hardware.. Yes, I am using a midi keyboard.. thanks for the feedback illogik, it kinda helps.. Still confuse, about the differrence between Arpeggiator and Step sequencer. I'm just used to a regular sequencer like the Alesis MMt8, Kawaii Q80, and the like. thanks for the patience guys.. ::)
  17. Hi, First, I have to thank all of you guys for this great project and forum. I'm a electronics/computer/music enthutiast with a bit of programming and heavy in electronics skills. Maybe I can help in something someday. :) I was surfing the net for a software step sequencer when I stumbled upon this project by accident. Yay!! ;D Since this is my first experience on step sequencer, please understand my ignorance.??? My question is: Does MIDIbox Seqv2 operates some what like the step sequencer in Linplug's "Octopus"? Or is it similar to Linplug's "Albino". Basically, what I want to do is, if I press one key in the keyboard it would play a bass sequence, not a chord of that key. Example: Pressing middle C will trigger C3 > F4 > D4 > E4 > D4 > C4. thanks in advance.. docbrown :)
