  1. Oh, I see. Sorry guys, I'm just ignorant about MIDI and the MOIS capability..
  2. Yes that will be schweet on this thing.. 8) This is exactly popped in my head last night.. See what I mean... :) Good info.. This is what I'm looking for.. thanks.. docbrown..
  3. Ok, I will have time this weekend to take it a part again and take some pictures..
  4. I think this does not address the multi splits zones.
  5. :P :P :P Yup, I know I love the action of this thing too.. ;D Its kind'a vintage :D :D Sorry, short of ca$h. One thing that I noticed is its using a diode matrix switch for its keyboard.. The rest I have no clue.. I'm researching the net right now for info about this controller. The idea popped in to my head just about an hour ago.. :) Thanks for the info Stryd_One..
  6. Hi guys, First off. I have a midi keyboard controller Fatar Studio 90 (http://www.synthony.com/vintage/st90.html) which only transmit in channel 1. :( There is this split function but there is no way to controll what channel that a certian zone to transmit. >:( I know I could just buy a nice controller like CME or M-audio, but I don't like their keyboard action. Since I've been reading this forum, I figured, maybe I can just replace the internal logic of the Studio 90 completely with MIDIBOX modules. Basically, I need it to be able to transmit on multiple zone and assign the channels accordingly. Also able to keep the sustain pedal functionality if possible. Is it do-able? I figured if you can midified some old synth, why not a keyboard controller with limited function to a nicer and geekier controller ;D. I even thought of adding the MBSEQv2 inside this controller.. 8) please advice.. docbrown..
  7. Thanks SmashTV. Sounds good..
  8. Actually, I think its a great idea, but it depends if it is compatible with MBSEQv3? Any thoughts TK? thanks.. docbrown..
  9. I think for what I saw on the label, is like what they'd use on pliers handles and other tools etc.. docbrown..
  10. Sorry for dumb question. RC4???,, would that be the version 3? As discribed on http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp_core.html. thanks.. docbrown..
  11. SmashTV, What version of the core module kit that you are currently shipping? thanks in advance.. docbrown..
  12. I hear you brotha.. I am in the same situation just like you. The only thing that I can find is from B.G. Micro, which requires a negative voltage. The rest is either to expensive ($30 each) or low quality. docbrown..
  13. TK, Thanks for the explanation. I'm sorry for my silly questions. :-[ I'm sure some newbies out there might have ask the same thing. :) Thanks for being patient about my questions. docbrown..
  14. After posting that questions, I did end up hitting a wall, when finding those components in the web. I did noticed that the CEM3340's and CEM3310's are very rare now a days. I will keep looking for those chips.. docbrown..
  15. schweet!! :)
  16. I for one like to have a clone of SCI Pro-One. I thought of building one myself already. The only drawback for me is the intel 8021 uC and its programming software for it. So far I have the schematics, but I'm still searching around for parts, specially the microcomputer. Anybody heard/read about it? I know that there is a software version that runs on Creamware's DSP's, but I want a hardware version. Is there already such a thing? thanks in advance.. docbrown..
  17. I saw the same thing at my local electronics store today. At that time I thought of using it as a non slip for project cases, which is an alternative of rubber feets. Maybe? docbrown..
  18. According to the hardware option for MBSEQv2, when using a single 2x40 LCD: http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq/mbseq_lcd_2x40.gif "only 4 steps are visible on screen (compressed without spaces, visible beat selected by last changed value)" What does "visible beat selected by last changed value" means. Just a little confused.. docbrown..
  19. Sounds kewl! 8) Specially while browsing sites like MIDIBOX forum. :) Any MIDIBOX stuff on those songs? docbrown..
  20. Just to add on this thread... This project did not have an audio output..In short.. docbrown...
  21. Wow, this filter is really schweet!!
  22. jb, Welcome to the forum. That's great!! I'm curious about how did you midified that organ.. thanks... docbrown :)
  23. I have somewhat a similar questions about cases. Have any of you use plexi/lexan as a case for your project? I know that there are a variety of thicknest that can be obtain from a local hardware store. I'm building a MBSEQv2. I figure if I use a clear plexi/lexan I don't need to drill holes for LED and LCD, which makes it easier as a casing. Since plexi/lexan is somewhat pretty lightweight, this might be a good material for a case... What do you guys think? docbrown...
  24. Got it! I was thinking that it works like an LCD. :-[ So I guess its possible to get a dead pixel (or dead LED in this case), kind'a like the same reaction of a dead pixel on a LCD monitor screen. But still, its a nice device. docbrown..
  25. Wow, PLED do looks really good. Is that a negative display? Can you switch it?
