  1. Thats what I'm doing. I'm really excited, but I can wait as long as it takes. :)
  2. No one else has gotten them yet? Crazy. I'm in the US and nothing so far. This does make me a little less worried though.
  3. I haven't gotten mine yet :(. Guess the post service in Vermont is enjoying all the snow we're getting.
  4. Mine just showed up last night! ...They're TINY!! Does anyone know of any good SMD practice kits or something?
  5. Yes because someone who signs up and then immediately posts is a scammer! A lot of people (myself included) tend to lurk a forum for a while until they want to actually post. Didn't someone who posted a little while ago about making his own pcbs get a similar reaction? Can't we be a friendly and welcoming community?
  6. I think Renoise might do what you want. http://www.renoise.com/ I'm not sure myself... I'm currently learning how trackers work.
  7. Bah, after a nights thinking I've changed my mind... Count me in for a 100!
  8. I'm very interested, but don't really have a need for 100. Would it be possible to only get 50? ..or anyone in Vermont want to split an order with me?
  9. I would be interested in joining a bulk order if it goes through.
  10. Good news.. JB Weld is actually an epoxy. It comes in two tubes that you mix together.
  11. Oh wow this sounds amazing! I just got done listening to it 3 times in a row. Looking forward to being able to play with it.
  12. Uh oh, time to post pictures of my SID ..shoebox sid :( Email will be sent soon, once i get done work.
  13. You can use this http://miosstudio.midibox.org/ I'm using a mac and am having no problems. That is why java software is wonderful.
  14. I used a butter knife to take my sid chip out. Just slid it under and gently pulled, then switched to the other side. Just work very slowly and don't use a lot of pressure. But the best is to get a IC extractor. You know, I think even have one of them, but for some reason "butter knife" was what came into my head at the time.
  15. This page here describes how to build a +/- power supply from a AC-AC wallwart. http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-12968.html I think this is the kind of wallwart he recommends to use. http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=100061&pa=100061PS Would someone else like to double check this and make sure it would work?

    switches?

Do you have any recomendation on what length to get for tactile switches? Most places i've looked at have 3 sizes. (actual length i can't remember) Would it be easier to just get long ones and then cut them to size? ...but then how wouls i cut them?
  17. Just whatever you do, practice with something else first. I believe someone else posted the steps they took to remove a soldered SID. Good luck!
  18. Oh man, that sounded awesome!
  19. Check out this page: http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_fm_manual.html You can adjust all the parameters with the control surface, you'll have to navigate within the menus to select what you want to change. If you want each setting to have it's own knob then I believe you can build a MIDIbox64E and have it send cc's to the MIDIboxFM.
  20. Is it the sound chip from the Sega Master System? Seems to match up with the hints you left here and in some other topics. This seems to be the chip in question... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_SN76489 I have a SMS sitting around doing nothing so it would be interesting find a use for it.
  21. Okay, I just did some more searching and it appears that they are connected 1 to 1. I'll try this out in the morning. http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=7100.0
  22. Can anyone help me with the connection between the SID and the Core? Some pins don't seem to match up. I'm using SmashTV's boards. Thanks!
