  1. I tried this http://www.minute-man.com/acatalog/PHILMORE11-450.jpg and one that's just a black snap-in holder. Both are made for 3mm LEDs, but they're too big for the back panel.
  2. Woo, it works! Do what Wilba says! I'm gonna make a 3-channel variation for sinfonias, and a 4-channel for fugues.
  3. I'm trying to play some MIDI files through the Sammich. Bach inventions, to be specific. The composition are only two voices, so they should sound great through the Sammich. I know I could do this easily with the multi engine, but is is possible to do it through the lead engine? For example, can I set up the Sammich so that anything sent over channel 1 only goes to OSC1 and channel 2 goes to OSC 2?
  4. I'm by no means an expert on this stuff, but here's some information that I wrote for n00bs, which I would have found very helpful when I was a n00b:
  5. hahaha
  6. I have a MB-6582 baseboard that I can edit with my computer, but I'd like to take it to a friend's house and show him a few patches. I want to show some Super Poly Mode stuff, and some mono mode stuff (for arpeggiator patches). How do I change ensembles without the control surface or a computer? I can change patches with my MIDI keyboard, but I haven't figured out how to change ensembles.
  7. To be clear, you have 6581s?
  8. Whoa, awesome!
  9. Yep, found one! I just opened up two breadboxes. Both have dark brown keyboards. Both have F keys with the odds on top, evens on the front. One had an 8580, one had a 6581.
  10. hmm, I hope not! I'm honestly new to this, and would rather learn the cheaper way, as opposed to the "waste money ordering the wrong panel" way.
  11. ah, ok thanks! I'm looking at this http://www.pactecenclosures.com/Plastic-Enclosures/drw_PT-10.pdf The actual "Rear Panel" on the drawing is 217.93 x 52.58. Should I use those specs, or the measurements of the holes? (The measurement you gave for the rear panels is actually the measurement of the hole in the case, I think).
  12. Yep...he took it to work, uploaded the .dxf to the machine, and it told him the total panel size would be about 200 ft  Thanks, Phil! Can someone give me the rear panel measurements? I don't have a Pactec case yet, but I'd like my panels to be compatible with one.
  13. I probably should have used a bigger board, but it barely fits, so I'm good. I should probably remake my PSU with resistor leads.
  14. Wooo, it works! 15. Resistor leads...wires on top...genius! WARNING To anyone using this as reference: This is a top-view of the board (looking at the components instead of the solder side). When you flip the board over to solder, things will be mirrored. Follow the schematic!
  16. I'm trying to figure out how to wire my banksticks. I have 3 24LC512 chips, 3 8-pin sockets, a perfboard, and some wire. Is there a cleaner way to do this? Is it a good idea to create "hubs" for wire groups like this? That's how I built my optimized PSU, and it works.
