NO sammichSID FOR YOU!

lol, now you have to solder the MB6582, hexagonsun :-D but after you managed to do one solid solder joint, the assembly of a sammichSID is fairly easy. and i guess, with all the documentation out here, a MB6582 is really not that hard to build (well, just guessing). btw nobody "wants" to sell his stuff. sometimes you are forced to do so. i miss my sammichSID already.

Your meter is probably wrong. It seems to be a constant 0.4V-0.5V less than expected. Try changing the battery. In my experience, regulated voltage should be less than +/- 0.05V different.
I don't think damage can occur with low voltage for THIS PCB anyway... There are probably other situations where an underpowered circuit might be damaged, perhaps if the external inputs were higher voltage than the internal voltage.
So I changed the battery with a new quality one and the voltage dropped to 11.3V - lol - whatever, sammichSID is working, that's all that matters.
Maybe I'll get a different meter someday to put clarity into that matter. Thanks Wilba for your help.

Yeah, that power supply is regulated, so test the voltage of the power supply at the plug, when set to 12V it should measure exactly 12V.
@ilmenator: voltage meter is fine, it's brand new and has an official TÃœV seal.
@Wilba: mhh, it says: 11.6V instead of 12V. What I was wondering: does damage occur because of the low voltage? Because everything runs fine, I don't experience any problems with the sound. So for me it's a working sammichSID with just a low voltage output.

thank you for your permission to sell. 2 forum members took interest in the sammichSID, so I'm going to sell it in the forum. Will tell you who's the lucky one, Wilba.
But a final question before selling it, because it might be a problem. sammichSID is working fine and playing sounds, but the voltage is not really within the parameters. My voltage meter says 8.5V for 9V and 9.85V for 12V. I'm using the power supply from Reichelt, suggested in this post:
Any ideas what that could be? Checked the board several times for soldering mistakes but couldn't find any. And as the sammichSID was working, it was fine to me. Any suggestions?

is it okay for me to sell my sammichSID? I lack time using it and the money I've spent for it is needed elsewhere. Would be nice if you approve it. Do I have to ask Wilba and Nils, too? The price I'll ask for it will be the total costs for parts and customs duties.

Me and my buddy had a fun Saturday with soldering the sammichSID. We didn't finish soldering the whole thing, because we ran out of time, but I'd like to share some pics with you. Final pics and some testing videos will follow.
BTW: The soldering fumes filter station is a tip for those, who like to solder stuff and care about their health. No nasty fumes in your nose and eyes for only 20EURs - please note: I'm sponsored by reichelt.de, where you can buy those :-) But my soldering experienced buddy was pleasantly surprised how well this station worked.
Finally I'd like to say thank you to Wilba, Nils and Thorsten for the nicely designed kit and their time.

Speaking of an FL version, I haven't tested this in FL, but I could make a native FL version too if anyone wants it.
That would be nice, if you can spare the time. FL wants to put the non-native VST into the mixer, where it doesn't belong. A VST placeable into the instrument panel would be fine. But I can't test/use it yet.

I started working on this last night in synthmaker. It's a VST control surface for your Midibox SID. I used the standard CCs instead of NRPNS, because I do not know how to work with NRPNs in synthmaker yet. So far it is untested, so I'm sure it has it's fair share of bugs at the moment. I wanted to share it regardless. When I make updates, I'll post them here.

Does anybody dream about his or her sammichSID? Well, I do. Even though I do not have the kit yet, I dreamt of trying to assemble the LEDs into the front plate. But that didn't worked out well, because the holes for the LEDs were, in this case, wider than 3mm and it was kind of frustrating. No LED fitted right. And the result didn't looked like the sammichs on the photos posted here. I tried to fix it with hot glue but that didn't worked out either. Interesting dream, don't you think? Also my front plate was blue acrylic, even though I'm in for a matte black one.
Does this happen to you guys?

Okay the crossed lines confused me a little bit:
So basically, with the stock 220Ω resistor everything will work fine, except I will not reach max brightness. But that's okay, I'll guess.

Having read that ultrabright LEDs are not suitable for the sammichSID and Wilba recommending LEDs in the 20mcd range, I came across these:

sweeeet theme! but definitely too short! the track must be at least 8-10 min long to be a real chillout track. you can't do something wrong with repeating the theme, variations and filter sweeps over and over again.
