  1. I'm going to start doing a redesign tonight so I can use these switches... lol
  2. Hahaha, no worries my friend. I downloaded their catalogue and found all the technical drawings that I was looking for (yay for 3D design). I'll let you know if I need to order some of them, they may be too big though (5mm extra adds up after a while ;)). Your controller is awesome BTW, I hope my ableton controller compares.
  3. I basically just get a 403 on http://www.midiboxaddict.com/parts Let me know :) Because i'm seriously considering switching out all my switches if I think these ones will look better. There are some pictures on the site; but I seem to trust photos from members more than the website ones (action shots!!!) Thanks again
  4. How many do you have left? I also cannot access the pictures you took of the switch, got any nice macro shots?
  5. I found some that have two leads. So hopefully i'll be able to hack that in, if not i'm going to drill out current holes and build a daughter board. It's quite excessive to build a secondary board just for LEDs (and if i did that I would use RGB). http://ca.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Kingbright/WP937EGW/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMs4quMj8r4lmn9toQ0TRIokqvXtkDU8gN8%3d
  6. Hi everyone! I've finally finished the layout of my Midibox. It's going to be used mostly for Ableton Live. Enjoy the pics :) Overview.. Left: 8x8 Livid Pads - Going go to have Bicoloured LEDs (The boards only have 2 holes for the LEDS :() 8 x Icecube Buttons 8 x Pots for volume on 8 tracks Middle: Faders and buttons all around :) Encoder and buttons for LCD Control Right: 16 encoders with LED rings. 20x2 LCD Xfader I still need to add some more buttons for transport control near the bottom, but this is pretty much it :) Any suggestions?
  7. The navimec is PERFECT! I am just having trouble finding a supplier.
  8. I'm looking for a 4way navigation switch for my project. I've found the switches on mouser or digikey but it appears that they are pretty vanilla and i was unable to find any good caps for them. Has anyone found a good solution for navigating an LCD? I would prefer a 4 way switch with selection but i would like it to be be illuminated and have fairly large buttons. ANy ideas?
  9. Freaking amazing dude. I just got my package today. How is that it takes longer to ship from the USA than from places half way across the world? I got a shipment from Hong Kong today too! Just waiting on some other parts before i start my build.
  10. I just sent you a PM about an order. I'm curious to what size of encoder i need (shaft length)
  11. i was thinking that it would be useful for making more unique layouts (buttons around a jogwheel, etc) but i guess you could do the same with the method you guys posted.
  12. Any idea on the price? Good button caps are impossible to find. I was thinking I could get a mold or two CNCed and make the buttons with the stuff. I ordered the sample pack to check it out. WE'll see soon enough!
  13. I just found this product on the net, it appears to be a plastic with a very low melting point. I'm getting a little to see how translucent it is. Maybe this would be useful for custom buttons?
  14. I'm more curious to hear about the operational force on them, which is why I was asking :). I've heard that the sparkfun ones require slightly to much force and are unreliable in terms of the buttons being pressed. I was hoping that these ones are better suited for MIDI controllers (they have to be decent since they sell them for that purpose). It will be cheaper than the alternatives too.
