  1. Does anyone know the exact kind of hardware that's needed to mount the PCB's to the case? Also, a good place to get all the parts? Thanks.
  2. I just got my case and it looks awesome. Thanks again Smokestack. What kind of paint are you guys using on your cases?
  3. This is awesome Smokestack. What is the deal with p1, p2 and p3 dimensions? Sorta confused by this part. Which is best for the lpc17? Also, I just uploaded the .svg file to Ponoko bypassing illustrator. This should work right? Thanks.
  4. Whoops. Must have timed out. http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/STMicroelectronics/L7805ACV/?qs=xv3lWMc77RcRBbxEgMcMziV7c5yMEViBWQF1RNIBsyE%3d Thanks for the heads up.
  5. Hey Guys, I have some construction questions as well, but did not want start a new thread. I accidentally switched the voltage regulators so I had to cut out the L7805ACV and now I can't solder it back in. Is this the same part? http://www.mouser.com/Cart/Cart.aspx Also, since I have no idea when a front panel and case will be ready. Is it imperative that the control pcb is unpopulated before I attach it to the panel with JB weld? I'm guessing it is not. Thanks.
  6. Hey Julian, So these panels will fit the case from the bulk order right? Just want to double check. Thanks!
  7. Holy *%#@. Looks like I'll be selling my RS7000.
  8. Hi, I was just wondering if only 4/4 measures are possible with the mbseq?
  9. Hey, whats the ETA for shipping on groupbuy? I'm not impatient, just excited to build this thing!
  10. I cant really tell if the test tone is working because there is a high pitched, crackling and low cycling sounds are constantly playing, but it is 1khz when I run the test. I did the interconnection test. I am guessing that you measure from GND on the sid to the different pins? CS and A0 are always 5v no matter what setting the test is set to and every other pin tested is 0v ,but on the second sid CS is 0v. I checked the voltage on the sid from GND to VDD and it is 8.91V now. Not really sure whats going on. Also, when I press the shift it seems everything get 2-3 louder not noisier.
  11. I have 6582A's in mine and the shunts are correctly aligned. I have 4 22nF caps in pin 1,3 and 4,6. I am getting 8.85 volts on my sids. Maybe they are in the wrong holes? Thanks.
  12. Hi Everyone, First, I want to thank Wilba again for this amazing project. This is my first post just wanted to say hi and ask for some help with my sammich. I soldered everything and loaded the midibox application, but the sids only play very muffled sounds. All the voices respond, they are quiet, the pitches are all the same and the noise floor is quite high. Also, the encoder does not respond and the shift button introduces more noise when pressed. The up and down buttons do not seem to work as well. The voltages all checked out except for the 12V rail which was only 11V. Maybe this is the issue? Do any of you midi masters have any suggestions?
