  1. Hi everyone, Is there a way to copy / paste whole songs the same way a pattern can be copied / pasted ? The idea is to reorganize the Songs order to match changes in a setlist... Thanks!

  3. Hi! Another function that I would find useful (and maybe other SEQ addicts would as well) would be, in SONG MODE, to be able to program a step where MIDI MASTER / SLAVE / AUTO is defined... It can be useful when using a complex machine setup (and I guess I'm not the only MB SEQ user looking for trouble out there... ;-) ) Thanks in advance! All the best, Gaël

  5. Hi Thorsten, Yes, it must be something like this. Some CCs have the MB6582 freeze (and you have to change bank sound and get back to it for it to be reinitialized). I haven't explored all the CCs but I will. Is there a chart for the MB6582? All I could find was this : Parameter Chart But it doesn't seem to match what happens... All CCs from #0 to #19 just seem to freeze the MB6582... All the best, Gaël

  7. Actually I think that the problem is the RATOPC function : I disabled it and no more ends of patterns being swallowed when switching from a position to the next in "song mode"... Nevertheless, a "guide track" with its own indepedant measure will be a great improvement! Cheers, Gaël
  8. I think that what happens is that when the SEQ switches from a pattern to the next one in SONG mode, it "swallows" a bit of the former pattern. I noticed it because the SEQ controls my s0xb0x which I programmed with notes that do not normally glide (they are all 90% in my pattern layout) but the last note of the pattern glides with the first note of the next pattern when changing pattern. And you can clearly hear that the first note of the next pattern comes too soon. And this doesn't happen when the pattern is looped (the very same last note of the pattern doesn't glide with the first note of the same pattern)! Weird, isn't it?...
  9. Hello Thorsten, I've been trying the new "Guide Track" feature and I have the same problem as creatorlars : I use measures that are more than 16 steps. In the project I'm working on now, I have 48 step measures, which can work with the regular mode, and then a break that is 66 steps... and which can't! The thing is I could imagine making a 64 step pattern and then a 2 step pattern which should work with the "Guide Track" new feature... But it seems that loops don't progress when I activate the "Guide Track", even though I changed Measure Length to 48 steps in the OPT page... I must be missing something... but I guess the simplest way would be the upgrade you were talking about where the "Guide Track" has its own measure length corresponding to the current pattern length... [EDIT] OK, I changed the "Pattern length" instead of the "measure lenght"... Now it works fine...

  12. Hi TK, I'm back working with my MBSEQ and so I'm trying to fix my SYNC issue. I'm having a hard time getting the SYSTEM output as with my macbook I cannot copy-paste the output from MIOS... I'll have to connect the MBSEQ to a PC. I just noticed something that could be a clue: When I start a pattern in "pattern mode", the BEAT led is perfectly synchronized to the 16 step leds... But with the very same pattern in "song mode", the 16 step led is late (this is very easy to check on step 9 as both leds are very close and I can see they aren't together anymore) The problem seems to occur when switching from one song position to the next (pattern change). I'm going to get the SYSTEM output very soon but this may be a start... Thanks again TK for developing such an amazing project and for being so reactive!
  13. Wow TK, I just discovered that you added this great feature that is going to change my life forever! (sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed...). ... But the thing is, I haven't been able to try it cause I can't upload the new firmware... :wacko: I overwrote the MBSEQ_HW.V4 on the SDCARD with the new file (wilba's version) but it doesn't seem to upload and I'm still at version 058... That's weird because as I can recall the procedure is pretty straight forward. What do I miss?

  15. Hi everyone, My MB6582 is connected to my MB SEQ V4 and I'd like now to be able to control MB6582 parameters with the CC fonction fo the MB SEQ. But I cannot get it to work. For instance, I'd like to be able to control the cutout. The manual tells me that this is CC#4. But when I play a CC track along with the melody track, it simply cuts the sound. Then I have to mute the CC track and change the preset sound on the MB6582 for it to produce a sound again (muting the CC isn't enough!) So : any clue ?... This is weird as I already successfully use CC with my Jomox and the MB SEQ does it perfectly! EDIT: :blush: I just rediscovered the CC knob on the MB6582... It works now...

  17. Hello, Sorry to open another subject quite close to one I opened two days ago but this might be clearer... What is the best way to compose in triple time with the MB SEQ? I cannot find where I can ask for instance that the steps would be reduced to 12 instead of 16... Then the Song Mode would have to adapt and know that it has to count to 12 and not to 16 or I"ll get the same problems that I have now... Thanks!
  18. I finally solved part of the issue : I noticed that I do not have a sync problem at the start of a song when I choose SONG MODE the click back on the PATTERN view before starting the song... This is kinda weird but this works...
  19. Hello, I noticed that I have a sync problem in song mode that doesn't exist when I play the pattern alone. My midi devices (x0xb0x, MB6582 and Jomox) are well synchronized when I play the pattern, but when I play it on Song Mode, they are not synchronized anymore! Or to be more precise : they are synchronized on the 1st pattern but the sync is slightly lost when switching to another pattern. I noticed this because I use a rhythm box (DR-5) to give my drummer a clic, and the clic is OK at the beginning but starts to unsync when switching to another pattern. Sometimes it even starts with difficulty, doubling the first note, and in this case the clic is unsynchronized. Any clue ?... Thanks!
  20. It seems that if I choose "Measure : 8 steps" and "Pattern : 8 steps" in the Options page, I can get more flexibility... But I still cannot do what I want. Here is the thing : I work on a triple time song. There's a point on the song where I have a break with an uneven number of measures. It goes like this (bass notes): B 2-3 / C 2-3 / C 2-3 / F 2-3 / F 2-3 / F 2-3 / F 2-3 / F 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12 So this is a total number of 33 times / steps. I don't know how to do it... I tried the Triplet mode where 8 steps equal 3 times and with a 64 step sequence I can play until the last F note (3 times) but I have 9 times left! If you happen to have a solution to my problem that would be really great...
  21. The patterns are on the NO Sync to measure setting. I tried with YES but it doesn't make any difference... still goes on with the pattern until it reaches its 16 steps... :unsure:
  22. Hi everyone, Something I can't do... I have a 24 step pattern which plays OK in Pattern Mode... But when I am in Song Mode, it doesn't move to the next pattern at step 25 but it plays the first 8 steps of the 24 step pattern again to reach a total of 32 steps and then moves to the next pattern... How can I make it start the next pattern at step 25 ?... Thanks !
  23. Yes, that's it! I was trying to plug the Roland TD-3 after playing C5 with a keyboard, then unpluging the keyboard and pluging the Roland TD-3. It just couldn't work that way! Sometimes I really do dumb things...
  24. Here is another question, after the former ones have been solved (thanks TK!) I noticed that if I have a 32 steps pattern (A1) and want to chain it with a 64 steps pattern (A2), then A2 will start at step 33 instead of step 1. I must have missed something...
