  1. Hi, Yes, I found the layout but wasn't able to activate the mode using the C note. Is it C6? C7?... And even if I manage to make it work with my MIDI keyboard, how will I do with my Roland TD-3? Sorry if my questions sound stupid but I'm kinda stuck... EDIT : It works with C5... But any idea on how to activate if I'm using my Roland TD-3?...
  2. This is very impressive Thomas! And "classe", comme le dit si bien Julien (salut Julien !) Is there a specific "Midi Solutions" hardware to connect a multiple footswitch to the Midi Seq ? I found out that it is possible to change note numbers sent by the Roland TD-3 module. So if I know how to activate the Midi Remote function, I should be able to configure the pads and the Charleston pedal to fit the functions I want (like start / stop)... so how do I activate?... :twitch:
  3. Hi everyone, I'm trying to find a way to control my MidiSeq v4 with external midi signals. I found out that a keyboard can be connected to the Midi Seq and found a keyboard layout for MidiSeq v2 but... I cannot fin a way to activate the midi remote fonction. A few questions: Can it work with a midi keyboard connected to MIDI IN1? Can it work with pads a Roland V-Drum (TD-3) connected to the MIDI IN1? (in which case the notes that trigger the Midi Seq fonctions would have to be definable as the TD-3 uses the classic midi note layout used for drums...) Basically I'd like to be able to start / stop the patterns or songs with a footswitch and / or to change patterns with a keyboard... Thanks in advance!
  4. Happy 1000 posts Peter! ... And here is an opportunity to write your 1001st post :ahappy: I have a problem selecting the right parameter layer. By choosing CC 128 steps 8 layers I should be able to attribute a CC number to every layer, from A to H. But if I choose another value for A instead of 001 (for instance 113, which should control the Jomox Hi-Hat Tune), there is a "!" right after the value and when I initialize the track, it goes back to 001! I must have missed something... Thanks again for your help. Cheers, Gaël EDIT : Silly me... You have to confirm by pressing the GP button (it's written on the left LCD when you first change the value) and then the "!" disappears. Then you save the track and you're good to go. This feature is f***ing powerful!!!
  5. Great ! And great ! Thanks again (and again) Thorsten ! Cheers,Gaël.
  6. Still can't find a way to do it right... :ermm: Any SEQ / CC pro help welcome!
  7. Hi Thorsten, Is there anything new on the subject ?... And something else : is it possible to repeat a 16-step-long fragment of a long pattern (128 for instance)? When composing it would make things easier when you can hear the portion you're working on as a loop... Thanks!
  8. Hey, I tried to record a CC track with the Jomox sending midi signal to the MIDIBOX SEQ and the SEQ reacts... but doesn't record anything. Values for each step stay the same. It seems that turning the pitch knob for Snare drum (for instance) just changes the step on which the SEQ is... So what is the procedure? Thanks if you have any clue!
  9. Thanks Peter, that's great. I'm gonna try this right away! Cheers, Gaël
  10. Hi there ! I'm the new owner of a Jomox XBase 09 and it's pretty fun... But I'd like to program the parameters such as Tune, Pitch, Decay... that can be changed on the Jomox through controllers... But I'm not that familiar with the process. If anyone has any experience with such a setup, that would be great! Here is the Midi Implementation chart of the Jomox:
  11. IT WORKS ! You just have to solder the wires correctly... Thanks again Thorsten !
  12. On the mbhp_core_stm32_midi3_extension.pdf file, it seems that only the MIDI IN 3 needs the 6N138 optocoupler... I tried without the optocoupler using two 220ohm resistors and +5v from J2 with no ground but it doesn't work... I'm gonna try with ground and see what happens !
  13. Solved ! Thank you (again) Thorsten. It was a combination of wrongly-soldered diodes (how could I do such a mistake?!!!) and 1K resistor on STM32 J4 whereas apparently it is not needed with my STM32 revision. IIC1, 2 and 3 work great and I'm sooo happy to let go my external midi splitter... Now I'm trying to find back the connection for MIDI OUT3 on STM32 (I read that... but where? ) All the best, Gael
  14. Thanks for the confirmation... but I have to make them IIC modules work first ! :hmm:
  15. J4 on the CORE is connected to J2 on the IIC modules. I checked voltage and the modules do receive a little more than +5v. Any idea from here ? (If midi IN on the IIC modules with CORE32 are not enabled, I think I'll remove them to gain space... I mean, when they work OK !)
  16. Hi there, My MidiSeq V4 has 3 IIC modules connected to the core but none of them is responding (none of the lights are flashing). I followed the MidiSeq V4 interconnections diagram but nothing happens. I put the 1k resistor between Vd and SC. In the Midi Seq Menu, IIC1, IIC2, IIC3 and IIC4 appear with a * (meaning they cannot be recognized nor selected I guess). Here is a picture of the 3 IIC modules, just in case : One last thing, just to be sure : IIC modules on a CORE32 only provide MIDI OUT, right ? Does this mean that only the MIDI OUT plug of each module is usable ? Thanks for your help!
  17. Hey, I'm thinking of building my own PSU using the RetroDonald schematic. Could you be more precise about the improvements you made to it ? Thanks !
  18. I'm quite interested by Sidmonster's solution using an external HDD power supply... but still a little sceptical after reading a few threads and finding schematics for C64 brick alternatives (like the ones from NorthernLightX or ... Would this PSU do the trick, even with a MidiSeq with AOUT ? [... And since I'm here : I received a 1st version C64 power supply and +5v is on pin 4 instead of being on 5... In fact, the plug only has four pins coming out, unlike my other "newer" C64 PSU that has all 7 pins (even though some aren't used). Can I bridge pins 4 and 5 inside my Midibox Sid without making a mess the day I plug my "newer" C64 PSU to the midibox ?]
  19. Hi, I guess I have the same question with v4... I have a sampler (SP-505) and samples are organised in banks. By default, set 1 is selected : how can I switch to another bank on a track? Thanks!
  20. Thanks Thorsten, this is great news. All the Best, Gaël
  21. ... OK, one more time  In PHRASE MODE, it looks like it doesn't automatically go from song position A1 to song position A2 (unless A1 is TEMPO, MUTE, etc...). i.e. it repeats the same pattern, unlike in the exemple you gave me where you created a loop from A1 to A4 and all that made a phrase. Is there something to set up?
  22. Wow, that's great! Each day comes with another possibility unravelling to me... Is it ever going to stop? Thanks again Thorsten.
  23. Hi, I first posted this question in another topic and I think this was a bit confusing... So: in SONG MODE, is there a way to tell the sequencer to repeat a certain pattern endlessly until manually told to move to the next song step? Then your solo can last until you or your audience get bored... :shifty: Thanks!
