Smithy Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 For "as new" & tested chips wilba is the best person around to buy from.BUt if youre after the older sids, the likes of the 6581s, which have a different sound then you could pick a few up off the market.theres different revisions of the 6581s, some say they are warmer, and have different filter sound.But the 8580s have a very "clean" sound.Remember that the filters in these older chips have a higher chance of being broken than the 8580s/6582A's.
