tongenerator Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Hello,i am looking forward to build the MIDI Seq V.3 with 4 MIDI Output.i am not an electrician and even togh it is some kind of hard to followthe english written text on the tutorials, while there are technical is well.i wanted to buy the finnished soldierd boards... i dont want to mess with the boards. i can do board for the leds and buttons... ok smal soldiring stuffso i think i know where the hole story will go to...but i am wondering about, how to configure the hole machine after its been built.how does the core knows wich is the right led to activate in case... or recognise the right button when pressed.... i understand that the chips are register...so... i think i need to tell the core, on wich register is wich button for example...do i need to do this... or how is this working...i am sure, i can build this machine, but is it just enough to have the firmware and software installed on the core asprovided.. or do i need to do adjustments... like mentioned or so onthe same with the MIDI Outputs... when i connetct 4 Outs on one bus... how does the core know wich is wich? or dont i need to bother...hope somebody understud my concernthxMark Quote
Futureman Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Hey there..My advice to you is read up on the wiki, thne read ALL the info about the SEQ3 on the Ucapps page.. then read it again 5 times over.. then print it out, and read it while you are travelling to work, while you are at work, and while you are coming home from work (Or school)To my knowledge, there is no 'pre assembled' service where you can get the boards all made up for you.. But, Mikes Shop & Smash TV do sell wonderful kits of the boards...I've now made 2 of these great sequencers, and did have to ask a few questions, but ALL the answers are out there, just search for em (Like I should have, and then did)This file is in there for how the LED's are connectedhttp://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq/mbseq_v3_dout.pdfThis file is in there for how all the buttons & rotary encoders are connectedhttp://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq/mbseq_v3_din.pdfThis file is in there for how the MIDI IIc's & Core is connectedhttp://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq/mbseq_v3_interconnections.pdfRegardsMike Quote
