tj_style
Hi All...I will start to make Traktor Controller, there are some the matters I wish to ask to you all.module which I need that is - CORE - AIN (Pots & Fader)- DIN (Button & Encoder)- DOUT (Led)- LTCWhich I confuse, firmware what is suited for Controller I to make?Because I need the analogue pots / fader and I also require encoder for scratch wheel.Midibox64 only having Pots & ButtonMidiBox64E only having button & encoder. Is while the I require is Pots, Button & encoder.became firmware what is suited for controller I to make this?thank all.. stryd_one
Did you search? Traktorizer is your friend ;)
tj_style
Yea.. And MTE said traktorizer have a costumize firmware. not the standard firmware like Midibox64 or Midibox64E.I want to add and remove the fiture of Traktorizer firmware, but i can't because is the custom Firmware. stryd_one
Yes, it's customized to work with traktor...what else would you want in a traktor controller? Is there some reason you want MB64(e) firmware (a generalised controller app), instead of an application specifically designed to do exactly what you want? tj_style
Basically I wish to make Traktor Controller be like Traktorier of MTE.But I wish to add some button to control sample and loop in Virtual DJ.If possibly I wish to add LCD, because I very happy see Traktorizer have LCD to present how much % of pitch, transpose and display other information. But in last firmware of Traktorizer, the LCD fiture is removed.I'm very Newbie in MidiboxThanks for all help.. stryd_one
I think you may find it easier to add LCD functions to the traktorizer, than to add all of it's features to MB64. That said, MTE has already pointed out: the LCD is not required, as his design already provides feedback to the user.
tj_style
Ok, now how if I wish to add some button in Traktorizer to play sample & loop in virtual DJ?MTE said I have to learn to make Firmware if we like to added or removed fiture in Traktorizer.Do if I add LCD in Traktorizer, are will be like this?I mean, percentage of Pitch, Transpose and the other will display in LCD? stryd_one
Extra buttons in traktorizer is probably easy. As for the LCD, You'd have to program those features into either traktorizer or MB64, and it'll show on screen exactly what you tell it to show ;)
tj_style
If adding button in Traktorizer mean to add the entry also in firmware, right? Is while firmware Traktorizer which I have is .hex file.how to editing the Traktorier firmware?and how do to add app_lcd.inc into Traktorizer firmware?Or I'm wrong?forgiveness if wrong me, because I don't too understand with MIOS.Thank for all help.. tj_style
TK said, is possible to add analogous pots / fader in MidiBox64E.But I don't know to enable the analogue pots in MidiBox64E firmware. Are there the can help me? please send to me the example of MidiBox64E firmware which have enabled the analogue pots.So I can learn how to enabling the analogue pots in Midibox64E firmware.I am only requiring 2 or 4 encoder, for scratch wheel and wind or only 2 scratch wheel without wind.Be in fact I wish to make the scratch wheel made in Rasteri but according to very costly me.1 CORE only can for 1 Scratch wheel. 2 scratch whel mean 2 CORE. correctness? In Indonesia not available PIC18F452, I have to buy from Singapore and very costly. rude bo
1 CORE only can for 1 Scratch wheel. 2 scratch whel mean 2 CORE. correctness?IMHO with mb64e firmware you can add up to 32 scratch wheels for only 1 core.B.R.
stryd_one
Rasteri's scratch wheel is not supported with the MB64 firmware, but you can connect more than one scratch wheel to one core. Again that will require software modification. tj, I think you may need to do some more research before you take on a task like this. You'll need to be familiar with either C or ASM programming, or to change your plan to a less complex solution. In your case, as a short term solution in lieu of learning a new programming language, I would recommend that you build the traktorizer, as designed. MTE has made the controllers with the LCD, and then removed them, and decided that they were well suited to being made without LCD. I don't know why he has made this decision, but I do know that he has put a great deal of work into building his traktor controllers, and has taken every consideration into account. I have been there for extensive periods of testing and experimentation and I can assure you that it would blow your mind! What I'm trying to say is this: I think you need to spend some time learning, and until then, trust MTE's design. He knows his stuff, big time ;)
tj_style
@leftwing:IMHO with mb64e firmware you can add up to 32 scratch wheels for only 1 core.Because Rasteri Scratch Wheel is hi res scratch wheel. right? Thanks stryd_one, now I start to learn the C programing. matyt
don't use LTC..... join the bulkorder for GM5 Chip+PCB.... If you're gonna use midibox connected to a notebook, USB is preferred...
leecyrille
I just bought an m-audio 1by1 for about 40$, pulled the pcb out of the case and jumpered the wires underneath the pcb's so i would'nt need a bulky cord and it works well too
