Wilba Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 I'm running a small-ish bulk order just for some control surface parts:http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=wilba_mb_6582_parts_bulk_orderOrder deadline is undetermined, but the cutoff might be sometime in mid-December.*** This bulk order is now closed. ***
j00lz Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Thanks for organising this Wilba (and so many other things).I've added myself to the list, and donated a beer through Paypal; that's how grateful I am :D
theprotool Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 added my order too .. cheers wilba!
3rdordertrauma Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 added... This will make things so much easier!! Thanks a million wilba!!
SubContractor Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Sweet! that does it - Im ordering the other bits from smash today! Thanks a heap Wilba!By the way, does that mean that LCD will actually be a PLED? Over the moon with either of course.
Wilba Posted November 28, 2008 Author Report Posted November 28, 2008 By the way, does that mean that LCD will actually be a PLED? Over the moon with either of course. No, the suggested display is a negative red LCD, as used on the last one I built (TK's one) and for which there was a bulk order some months ago.
jimbob Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Cheers, i wouldnt know where to start if it wasnt for this
madox Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Thanks Wilba - you the best!Just to confirm, this bulk purchase would cover all the control surface parts other than the common 1N4148 diodes?Cheers
Wilba Posted November 29, 2008 Author Report Posted November 29, 2008 Correct. You will still need to get PT-10 case, front and rear panels, diodes, M3 10mm threaded spacers, M3 screws, M2.5 screws/washers/nuts etc.Although, if you are really stuck finding the other parts (i.e. you can't buy them from a local shop like Jaycar) then I'll help out.I know where to get PT-10 cases locally (Switches Plus), but they're a bit expensive ($45 or $50 I think). Bulk ordering direct from PacTec doesn't save that much though.
madox Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 Hi Wilba,Thanks for the confirmation.I am sourcing the case through Doug. I'm not sure if it will be any cheaper, with postage included, but I figured I would just see how it goes.Cheers mate, madox
andyj2 Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 I have ordered a PT-10 from RS Components Australia, have not recieved it yet as it's an "Extended Range" item. It was a bit expensive but there are price breaks as shown.http://australia.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=2508440585
backindauk Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Hi mate,I added myself to the order.Cheers :)EDIT:Thanks for the reminder about email addresses. :)
stryd_one Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Do yourself a favour and remove that email address. I didn't see Wilba ask for it, but the spammers will thank you.
