lead bromide
I've having a problem with the 74HC595's getting very hot. Prior to putting in the 74HC595s on the MB-6582 PCB, all the voltages check, but as soon as I put in the first one the voltage drops dramatically. Would this be the product of bad 74HC595's? nILS
Hi lead bromide, welcome aboard! ;)Shift register don't usually get warm at all. So either there's a problem with the wiring/soldering or your 74HC595 are faulty.
lead bromide
Thanks nILS for the reply. I just realized that I had the shift registers in backwards :(. I'm assuming they're fried, so I just ordered new ones.
