[Solved] invisible Groundplate on all Layouts

Whoho my first post here!

I allready read this forum for about two weeks and ordered the first parts of

my 64E today. Unfortunately i am stuck atm.

I normaly use a different program for layoutwork (target 3001, some of our german visitors might know it^^)

thus i am a bloody beginner to Eagle.

Now the problem that i am facing is that i cant make the groundplate of your layouts visible.

I am using Eagle 5.6.0 Demo Version with the Layoutfile for the PIC Burner (V3).

After nearly 3 hours i allready discovered the following:

it looks like there allready is a groundplate. It just doesnt fill the empty space, its displayed as a

blue line with points around the Layout. the preconfigured Settings for this polygon looks ok to me (reffering to this tutorial: http://www.muzique.com/schem/groundplane.pdf ).

"Thermals" is marked and "Orphans" not.

Also, when i click on my GND polygon line, some of the electronic parts which are connected to the ground get highlighed.

It looks like the groundplate exists, i just cant see it (nor print it, and thats a major problem).

Of course i used the forum search, but i didnt find anything.

Maybe some Eagle Crack wants to put me into the right direction? that would be really great!

[EDIT] Shame on me for not reading properly enough!

after a simple click on "ratsnest" it suddendly was visible.

Mods may delete this topic, maybe the content is worth an entry in your FAQ

regards, and sorry for bothering you ;-)

Welcome to the MIDIBox forums.

Glad you got it sorted.

Eagle is really friendly, only AFTER you learn all it's secrets. :-)

There are some here who like other free programs.

It would help a bit if you choose the forum group more carefully..

For a question about Eagle, I might have chosen "Tips and Tricks" or maybe "Miscellaneous"..

It's not  big deal, just an effort to keep things a bit sorted.

Welcome aboard, and have fun!!
