vintagestar Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Hi, hope someone can help me out. I have finish soldering both sammichSID PCBs. I am pretty sure I solder them carefully. There is two problems I am having now. 1./ When I do the voltage test on the Base PCB, for 5V / 9V / 12V connection, I got reading of 4.97V / 9V / 11.88V at the very beinging. However, when I probe to these connection again, I found every reading is slowly climbing up (climb up slowly by 0.01 everytime). After 3 mins, now the reading is 5.57V / 10.09V / 12.16V . Is this normal? because the reading seems like they continue to rise slowly but stop at a centain point, not far from the second reading. 2./ After I connect the Control Surface PCB to the Base PCB, I test the votage on Control surface PCB. The reading is fine.....at the beinging. Reading is 4.96V at the beinging. However, after a few minutes. The reading start to climb up slowly again. From 4.96V climbing up very very slowly, moving by 0.01V slowly. I switch off the power after the voltage reach 5.54V because the reading keeps rising slowly. Is there anything wrong? This is the power adaptor I am using : http://www.tradeeasy.com/supplier/28996/products/p816511/winstar-switching-adaptor.html Is the regulator not functioning well? Even a 5% error regulator, the tolerance only goes to 5.25V. Regards, vintagestar Quote
nILS Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I deleted the identical thread you started in the "Design Concepts" forum. Crosspost bad, mmkay. Quote
