D. Stephenson
Hi, Since my soldering skills are rather pathetic, I'm guessing it will take a couple months until I can fully build a functioning Core32. In the meantime, will MIOS32 work with the STM32 Discovery kit for software testing? It uses the STM32F100RBT6B chip. Thanks Dave
D. Stephenson
I think I answered my own question after taking a look at this and taking a closer look at the specs on the discovery board (128k flash & 8k ram). Although it is possible to port it... the very limited memory on the discovery chip makes it fairly useless to use MIOS32. Even the first tutorial gave me a greater memory usage than the chip can use: 40832 flash (text) 12440 ram (bss) Please let me know if I am wrong, but if not I guess it's time to warm up the soldering iron. Thanks Dave
nILS
I guess it's time to warm up the soldering iron Correct :) Solder some random led-blinker kits or sth and you're good to go. Keep in mind - the stm32 comes pre-soldered, so all you have to do is diy-friendly through-hole stuff.
