scrubber
Hello peeps! First post....sorry its not a good one I have recently acquired a smash tv core and sid module (one of each) of a freind who has given up without completing it!! (his loss) I have all the components soldered up and am down to connecting the power up. I have an old c64 plug I can butcher ect Anyways my problem is that when reading the docs available for connecting the power modules (the optimised .pdf) the schematic is asking to connect connections that don't exist such as pwm on j2 of the sid and connected to pwm on j10 of the core??? Sorry for the newb question!
Imp
Welcome on board! Pwm is labeled as CLK on smash's boards. Also Vd (Core) must be connected to Vc (SID)and MD(Core) to Sc (SID). Those pin-arrays have the same layout, so you can use a ribboncable with 2x4 connectors, without exchanging any lines.

scrubber
yo sorry couldn't get on the chat and do my dance cos my mate has given me his amiga 500 plug not the c64! bugger! was looking at the pins on the amiga plug and you can get 12v from one pin and 5v from another, maybe it coulda worked if I didn't have the SID chip that only takes 9v! got all the power connections sorted between the core and sid tho! he's on the hunt for the original power so hopefully will be dancing soon!
