ballpein
Well, my first venture into smd soldering was less than successful. I fear that I tore off one of the IC 1 pads on the board. Looking at the top of the board and counting clockwise from pin 1, it would be pin 9. I guess I will have to jumper that pin on the chip, but this pad seems to lead to an interior layer of the board so I can't trace it. I'm hoping someone can help me out by telling me where I should jump to. Thanks in advance!
TK.
Good news: this is pin #24, the RESET pin, which can be left open -> no need to fix this with a jumper :) Reference: http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_usb_gm5.pdf Best Regards, Thorsten. ballpein
Thanks so much, and thanks for the linked diagram. I must have been high on flux last night because I couldn't find it!
nILS
There are no internal layers :) This might help you with future tracing as well: http://midibox.org/dokuwiki/gm5x5x5
