Underskor
I put the SRIO Demo app on my MIOS32 board, and whenever I touch a DIN pin (eg. J3:Vs OR J3:D0), I get an APP_DIN_NotifyToggle() 1 through 127. All 127 toggle between 0 and 1 with each touch. I may have misunderstood the purpose of the SRIO app but it says in the readme.txt: This application demonstrates the MIOS32_SRIO driver - DIN pins will be forwarded to DOUT pins - DIN pins send a MIDI message (Note Events) - DOUT pins controllable via Note Events - Encoders at SR 13/14 will send CC events The APP_DIN_NotifyToggle() functions aren't the note events the readme.txt mentions are they? I interpreted it to mean that each DIN would send an individual note event.
julienvoirin
you've got a short between SCLK and some near trace, maybe RCLK , or ground or 5V. Use "bip bip" mode multimeter and check independancies of the 6 signals (Si So RC SC 5V Gnd) i already had this problem some years ago I interpreted it to mean that each DIN would send an individual note event. True, you are right Edited March 24, 2011 by julienvoirin
Underskor
I just did what you said julienvoirin, this is what I got: J8:RC>J9:RC - connected J8:SC>J9:SC - connected J8:S0>J9:S1 - not connected J8:Vd>J9:Vd - connected J8:Vs>J9:Vs - connected On the DIN board, no J1 pins are connected. I don't understand what you mean by SCLK and RCLK though sorry, can't seem to find them on the PCB schematic. :pinch:
julienvoirin
you haven't understood what i wrote verify there isn't a short between Rc and Sc for example, or Vd and Sc, or Rc and Gnd, etc... SC = SCLK = Shift Clock !
Underskor
Yup, I checked that and there were no shorts. All 6 signals are independent. I just thought I would post the J8:RC>J9:RC etc in case they were not supposed to short. :baby: Any other ideas?
julienvoirin
I had similar problems with shorts on DIN/DOUT modules, Core was alright
Underskor
Well it works, somehow! Unfortunately though I think I came home after a few drinks and poked around looking for shorts, so I don't remember exactly where it was. Thanks a lot for your help julienvoirin!
