Nestle
Hello, I just bought Akai MPK49 midi controller that the user blew by using 12v adapter. It uses usb-power and optional wall adapter. The thing is dead and I am about to open it. Any suggestions how to repair it? I will post some pictures when I open it. I check if something looks or smells weird first :D Do you think it is an easy task to repair such device? I haven't seen any fuses in these devices, maybe diodes would stop the evil electricity? Thanks, Nestle
ssp
probably a diode across the power input stage i expect, i recently repaired a small desktop axiom controller and that had the same issue, also a red sound darkstar with advice from smashtv, that was just a diode also. Hola, Is it easy to spot the first diode using this picture??? There was no burn, no visible damage or even a foul smell. :hairy: :hairy:
