Just kidding, I always thought it was funny how people make disgusting toxic drugs to put in their body out of other disgusting toxic household cleaning products...

Anyways, I'm trying to see if I have enough laying around to build and LFO to get some nifty wobbles from the KORG NJM-2069 filter I am using. It has lin and log CV inputs so I know it's just a matter of modulation those CV's.

I found a cool site that has schem and part list for many simple synth modules you can build: http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules

there are a few different LFO modules that interest me, but this is probably the most simple: http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/psycho_lfo.html

I don't have that IC laying around that he used, but while looking for it, I found two modulator chips (MC149BP) that I think could be used, I have attached the datasheet to this post, please have a look and tell me if I can use this IC. From the datasheet it looks like I would have a lot of flexibility with this chip. Thanks!

BTW, I have two of these chips so if someone else wants to try this as well, I have one to spare! mc1496bp modulator.pdf

the chip in the datasheet is a balanced modulator, while the 40106 is a hex inverter. you'll find the 40106 literally everywhere for a few cents.
