DOUT question

Hi. I've got a question that might be silly and obvious, but i need to clearify it.

When i connect LED's to the DOUT module (for use with buttons on an MB64), how do i know which button uses which LED? Is it like this:

[tt]

LED:   1    2    3    4    5    6    7    8

BTN: SFB1 SFB2 SFB3 SFB4 BTN1 BTN2 BTN3 BTN4

etc.

[/tt]

Or do I "assign" the buttons with the LED's by software?

Thanks for bothering /J

Hi,

you can freely assign the DOUT shift registers to DIN shift registers or other functions (e.g. MB64 allows to indicate the selected bank with 16 LEDs). See the upper right corner of this snapshot:

vmb64_2.gif

The first button of a DIN shift register relates to the first LED of a DOUT shift register, etc...

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaahoooooooooooooooooo

Good choice of question

Thanks to Driftz for attempting to talk me thru the DOUT thing. Tough job, I still don't get it !!! Not his fault though :-[

But look at this with the 64 port I can do it with the editor.

Now I'm impressed ;D 8)  Good for you Serge
