albanyaka51 Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 Hello, I'm a DIY beginner and I plan to make a midibox SID with the complete control surface (step C). So far I think I understand pretty well the construction process but I have a (probably silly) question : what kind of switches should I use for the control surface ? Thanks. Alban
nILS Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 Welcome aboard albanyaka51 :flowers: You want momentary closing switches. What kind you use is entirely up to you. Typically "tactile switches" are used as they're easily available and way cheaper than nice push buttons.
TK. Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 Hi Alban, if you are planning to order the components from Reichelt, this button would be the best choice: http://www.reichelt.de/Kurzhubtaster/TASTER-3301B/3/index.html?;ACTION=3;LA=446;ARTICLE=27893;GROUPID=3278;artnr=TASTER+3301B Best Regards, Thorsten.
albanyaka51 Posted January 6, 2013 Author Report Posted January 6, 2013 Thank you very much for your quick answers ! Actually I missed the mounting scematics of the buttons (at http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_dinx4_32buttons.pdf) and it's now very clear for me  I may have other stupid questions like this before ordering all the stuff. Should I edit this post ?
nILS Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 It's your thread, feel free to ask another question here ;-)
