led rings with sid control surface

hi,

is it possible to add led rings to the control panel of the sid, and how could this be done?

I have searched the site, but i could not find anything on how to incorporate the rings in my project.

I really dont know, if this is needed!

If you turn one Enc, the LCD instantly switches to the changed value. Even the Assign-Encoders of the ADSR and the VCO sections are switching to their assigned controllers. There you can immediately see the changed value.

And also I dont know if this is possible at all at the moment, the CS needs 2 DOUTx4. 16 of those DINs are multipexed (the MOD section). So, even more multiplexed LED-rings would be some work, I think...

/edit: 32 of those DOUTs are multiplexed already, cuse me...

i don't know how to do this, but i think it would be cool, if you had sequenced many knob movements and wanted to be able to tell what was going on all at once.

This is possible with MIOS, I have discussed this with Thorsten in the past (I too am going to create LED-rings with my CS), but I don't know if this feature is already supported by the firmware.

If it's supported you would need an extra DOUTX4 though.

the micro modular has only 3 or so pots, no led indicators.

I think you mean the Nord Lead 3 series or the coming G2 keyboard, right ? :)
