david.s.
Hi - I was about to order parts to put together an MBSeqv4 when I noticed that there is a core stm32f4 module available. Is this now the preferred core to use with seqv4 or is it still the LPC17 (which seems more expensive, and seems to now feature a mismatched pin config...)? I've looked through Ucapps and this forum and was left feeling unsure.
ilmenator
STM32F4 is the way to go, but the core board is not available yet. Depending on your level of DIY skills this might be a reason for waiting some more until all parts necessary can be purchased from Tim's shop. John E. Finster
If i´m not mistaken a STM32F4 core board is already available at Tim´s. I ordered one a few days ago. I don´t know if the current SEQV4 firmware supports the new core though,I´ve hadn´t have a chance to test it yet. Edited April 18, 2014 by John E. ilmenator
I did not check Tim's shop, just the ucapps.de website - usually, the board layout is published there, and for the STM32F4 core board this is not the case, so I assumed it was still in the making. portervance
Yeah I'm seeing the STM32F4 and MIDI I/O boards available on SmashTV as well. Hope to see a better picture of the boards pop up online so I can get a better idea of the layout. I don't think the boards have a place for a USB port. I'd order one now, but I put my name on the list of control surface PCBs/kits and want to get all my SmashTV PCBs and parts in one order. John E. Finster
I believe the STM32F4 comes with its own usb connector so the core board doesn´t have to provide one like the LPC17 core board.
david.s.
Hi, Thanks for the replies and apologies for the confusion over my poorly worded post. I meant that I noticed it as available at Smashes shop! The Seqv4 application isn't currently listed as a download for the stm32f4. However, the stm32f4 is the board that I would prefer to order at this time and it says on the Ucapps page that it is an alternative solution... I'm wondering if the seqv4 download for the stm32f1 board would work on the 32f4 board? If changes are required to get it going, is that something I might be able to do? hmmm..
borfo
Does anyone know if there's a parts list anywhere for the STM32f4 MIDI I/O Board that's available to order from SmashTV?
ilmenator
As SmashTV is selling this, your best bet is to ask him. However, I am pretty sure the documentation will be on ucapps.de sooner or later.
borfo
I have asked him. No response yet. Thought someone else might know. Edited April 28, 2014 by borfo
