I know that this has been discussed before in relation to the MBSEQ app but I'd like to revisit this.

Is it technically possible to add USB hub support when using the STM32F4 in USB Host mode?

The reason I ask is that I'd like to develop MBNG app that would require the use of a USB a hub, i.e. Multipul USB/MIDI class compliant controllers.

If there are limitations that would prevent hub support being added to existing apps a standalone app that allows the use of multipul USB MIDI devices connected to a STM32F4 core via a hub with the MIDI router functionality would be sufficent. I could use a separate core to run the MBNG app to do the processing.

TK, I would love to know if this is a deadend idea.

It's technically possible, but will require some complicated software extensions.

Actually I hope that ST will provide it together with the USB driver library, but it seems that it's even too complicated for those guys ;-)

Best Regards, Thorsten.
