jaytee Posted August 25, 2017 Report Posted August 25, 2017 I think a lot of people just used an exacto knife on a CD jewelcase and glued it to the inside of the panel.
julianf Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 The mb6582 panels are 1.5mm, so gluing over the screen hole at the rear of the panel will give a 1.5mm step, however, this also means that the edge of the screen does not need to be perfect at all - as it is not visible at all. You could hack a bit of a CD case apart with a kitchen knife, and it would not matter, so long as you can make the clear section flush with the back of the panel.
Johey Posted August 30, 2017 Author Report Posted August 30, 2017 (edited) I see. Just one question: Why didn't I think of this myself? :) I can even cut a piece of real glass, dammit! Can even 3d print myself a frame that will hold the glass. That way I could level the glass with the panel. Edited August 30, 2017 by Johey
