seqv4 songmode

hi all,

unfortunately i'am still on seqv3 and don't have seqv4+ yet but the core boards are already here :)

i have a question about the songmode of the v4.

is it possible to save all 4 pattern groups (16 tracks) at once and assign them to a song position? and is it then possible to make changes in this song position on track level and then save it on the next position to build up a song?

besides it would be great if you could call the saved song positions with the 16 step buttons for example.

Hello,

Check out the masterful SEQ beginners guide, particularly under "5.2.3. Save & Take over Patterns." This I think aligns with your idea.

You may want to read about bookmarks, which are available as a related but different workflow controlling things like groups of mutes or the view type. Bookmarks are a selection-row mode on the midiphy.

Song positions A1-P1 (16 parts) are also switchable on the selection row. You can also have A1-8, B1-8 etc. if you need more parts.
