jeroddumas Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 I am working on my MBLC. I have a couple of questions. first since I am in the US i will go with the panasonic Motorfaders, becuase I can't find an alps supplier. Has anyone designed touchsensitivity for these. I keep reading about a mod that thorston did, but I can find it. HELP please. Also if anyone knows where i can get the alps faders I will appreciate the help.
arumblack Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 You can get the alps at Mouser www.mouser.com but i think they are about 40-50 dollars.
Steven_C Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 I think the mod was just a function implemented into the firmware that sent a touch message to the host application if the fader was moved more than a certain amount, or held against the direction of the moving motor. I believe that this was only in the old MF module, not sure if it continued in MIOS. I think TK's other idea of a thumbtack next to the fader is much better. (my rebuilt LC will have this, where the heel of your hand rests on the panel as you move the faders.)
